The scripture tells us, “The Lord gives perfect peace to those whose faith is firm.” Read Isaiah 26:3 (CEV).In other words, the peace you and I experience is directly linked to our faith being established, and properly solid in Gods word. Listen to what Jesus said, “I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn’t like the peace that this world can give. So don’t be worried or afraid.” Read John 14:27 (CEV).It is quite clear and a stark warning; that we should not lean on the seven pillars of society, because it won’t and can never guarantee peace and stability.
Dearly beloved, the basis of truth must be established on the word of God, and that is what I am doing to help us understand that in these days and times we are in; requires our foundation to be built on Gods word. So if you are still vacillating between foundations, then I ask you to seriously consider what I am saying to you. These are not my opinion, but Gods opinion through the scriptures; Be rooted and grounded in Gods word, hence the Bible says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed(constantly fixed) on you, because he trusts in You.” Read Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV).
Using the analogy of the ship again, when the ship is at the harbour, and anchored, it is at rest; hence the Bible says, “Let us therefore use diligence to enter into that rest, that no one may fall after the same example of not hearkening to the word.” Read Hebrews 4:11 (DARBY). Ladies and gentlemen, being anchored on the word of God navigates you into a place of rest (inward tranquility while one performs necessary labor). I believe the Lord is saying to us ‘develop an inward stillness, even in the midst of circumstances’ where we are not overwhelmed, because God has promised us His rest. Hallelujah.
I thank God, we are insulated by the word of God. Insulation is not in things, but only in Gods word. Insulation is in what you and I have immersed ourselves into. Beloved, everything starts and ends with the word, hence the Bible says, “In the beginning, was the word…”
