But … out of the mouth of God – Part 2

The_Mouth_of_GodWe are reminded, our focus should not be on the bread that will only sustain our physical bodies, but to focus on the substance that will nourish the spirit and soul. Watch this, there is a component in man that can’t exist without the living word from God, hence the Bible says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD…” Read Proverbs 20:27 (KJV). Another scripture to give us further insight, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.” Read John 1:4 (KJV). There exists in the human spirit a ray of light which will forever yearn for the originator of that light – God, Hallelujah.

In part 1, I asked the question, whose words weigh heavy on you, God’s or another? The Bible says, “In the beginning was the word (truth).” Read John 1:1 (KJV), and these words are “Life to those who find them…” Read Proverbs 4:22 (NKJV). Beloved, the word that comes out from the mouth of God is LIFE (the very essence of God), Selah. Watch this, “It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” Read John 6:63 (NABRE). This is critical in maintaining a steady relationship with the Lord. Are you aware, God will primarily speak to you through His word? His word is His will in any matter we present before Him. And you might be asking, what of someone can’t read or is blind? Then we have all kinds of devices to help them read God’s word.

Again  check what the Bible says, “Carefully read the scroll of the LordNot one of these creatures will be missing none will lack a mate. For the Lord has issued the decree and his own spirit gathers them.” Read Isaiah 34:16 (NET). Watch this, only kings make decrees; and recall the Bible says, “We are kings and priests unto our God.” And before the foundations of the world, we were pre-destined ROYALS.

The Bible says, “We decree a thing and have it established.” Oh this is so beautiful to read, “Whatever you decide on a matter it will be established for you and light will shine on your ways.” Read Job 22:28 (NET). In other words, you will consider a matter and decree according to the counsel of God, and it will stand, Glory, Hallelujah. This is worth shouting about, therefore, you and I are not disadvantaged, a million times no. My Bible then further says, “He is King of kings and Lord of Lord’s.” In other words, Jesus is the BOSS of ALL BOSSES.

Consequently, the question I want answered is, how do I feed out from the mouth of God? Let us then see what the Bible says.

  • Find the word and eat it
    • Your words are what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul. They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me. How proud I am to bear your name, Oh Lord.” Read Jeremiah 15:16 (TLB). Watch this beloved, the only food that will satisfy or nourish your spirit and soul is God’s word. Finding the word means searching for the specific word from the pages of the Bible that addresses the concern or challenge. The word from the mouth of God is a treasure, and treasures are sought out, hence the Bible says, “I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.” Read Job 23:12 (NLT). Can you see this? We are to treasure His word more than any other word or voice; and let me say this, you have access to His word, therefore, you are not disadvantaged, a million times no. Don’t allow yourself to be deceived that the word is far from you, oh no no no, hence the Bible says, “The message is as near as your mouth or your heart.” Read Romans 10:8 (CEV).

So have you been able to identify whose words weigh more on you? It is my desire to have you to think and to consider. I really want you to be able to answer this question honestly, then make the adjustment.

It is my prayer for you, God’s word will permeate your heart and soul, having free course in your life, will run swiftly and accomplish all that it was sent to do in the name of Jesus. I pray the word will propel you into His plan purpose and pursuits in the name of Jesus, Amen. You are a man and woman of the word and of the Spirit, Glory to God, Hallelujah.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
