What is the basis for your belief? – Part 1

fullsizeoutput_23I sat at my study desk and started to ask myself this question, what is the basis for my belief in Christ Jesus? I am aware that there are several religions in the world, and people have gone with the faith they believe appeals to them. Whilst that might be your truth, appeal and conviction, then it might be interesting to find out on what basis have you arrived at the notion that your religion or Christian faith is the most authentic. Have you really asked yourself, why you believe what you believe?

The word belief “signifies absolute confidence and trust, complete surrender, and heartfelt obedience.” People with different beliefs will most certainly come out and defend the reason for their belief, be it Christianity, Islam, Non-religion: Secular / Agnostics / Atheist, Buddhism, Hinduism, the Chinese traditional religion and so and so forth is the most authentic. Research shows, there are “4,300 religions in the world” and if this is the case, how do we know which one is the real deal? This is a fair question, right?

Listen to this beautiful quote, “Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.Abraham Lincoln. Therefore, it would behove us to find out the basis for our belief, because if you would be committing your entire life to something, then surely you must have a solid foundation upon which you are standing on.

This is only an introduction, and what I intend on doing is to show you with sufficient and unrefutable evidence, the basis for my belief in Christ. My inquisitiveness has now lead me to research, and I would like to share with you what I was able to find, and this is going to be absolutely revealing, in this wise, look out for Part 2.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.

  1. Looking forward to Part 2. Very good. God truly has blessed you with wisdom and insight into His word. You make it so simple to read and very clear for anyone to be able to grasp what you are saying.
