I am not disadvantaged​ – Part 1

When we face challenges in life or go through storms, the tendency to think one is all alone begins to creep into one’s mind, but the truth is you are never ever alone. Jesus said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” Read Hebrews 13:5 (AMPC). Beloved, with this type of Word, how can you ever think that you are at a disadvantage? I suppose the one reason we think of being at a disadvantage is that we might be lacking knowledge about our identity, and what God’s word says about us.

This is radical but will say it nonetheless, ‘one would be disadvantaged if God is not in the centre of their lives.’ Selah. Hence the Bible says, “Without Me, you can do nothing. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” Read John 15:5 (NIV). Have you not heard? “Jesus is your helper…

We hear things like, ‘because of the colour of my skin,’ or ‘I don’t have the right accent,’ or I did not attend the right school,’ and this is a good one, ‘I was not born into the right family,” or ‘I did not come from the right country.’ All these excuses we come up with can be an indication of one’s lack of understanding of who they really are in Christ Jesus. Scripture tells us, “…I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” Read Matthew 28:20 (AMP). Always means always!!!.

The scripture counsels, “…but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].” Read Daniel 11:32 (AMP). Brothers and sisters, this is the time for you and I to be spiritually aware and “not be ignorant” of our inheritance in Christ Jesus. Watch this, in Christ Jesus, we have inherited strength, wisdom and insight, boldness and might.

There is more to you than you know it. You are not ordinary; you are a son or a daughter of the most High God. You are an awesome specie of being, you are unstoppable made after the image and likeness of God.

You are secure in Him, therefore, I declare Gods Word which says, “And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the Word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers].” Read Acts 20:32 (AMP).
