The Lord will raise a Righteous branch – Part 4

GrowImage_plantFor the time is coming, says the Lordwhen I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s lineHe will be a King who rules with wisdomHe will do what is just and right throughout the landAnd this will be His name: The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be savedand Israel will live in safety.” Read Jeremiah 23:5-6 (NLT).  Therefore, what are the implications of a RIGHTEOUS BRANCH?

  • A King who will save His people from destruction
    • The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.” Read 1 Corinthians 1:18 (NLT). The power of God is available to save us all from destruction, hence the Bible says, for “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.” Read Romans 10:13 (AMP). Saved from what? Destruction.
    • I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through Me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” Read John 10:10 (MSG).
  • A King who will establish peace in the land
    • Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” Read John 14:27 (AMP). Do you realise that peace is a fruit? Galatians 5:22 says, and the fruit of the Spirit is ..Peace.” So start cultivating your fruit.

The Lord says, “I tell you that you are Peter, and it is on this rock that I will build My congregation, and the powers of hell will not conquer it.” Read Matthew 16:18 (ISV). Now, the only time that the power of hell will conquer is when we decide to relegate the Righteous Branch from our pulpits; it becomes an open season.

The Bible exalts, “Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the Church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.” Read Acts 20:28. Can you see this? We are overseers, managers and not owners.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
