Remember the Lord your God – Part 4

lift up your eyes and see-9The Bible counsels us to “Be careful.” This text caught my attention and made me dig deeper into the scriptures to find out exactly what it was I was to “Be Careful” about? Beloved, listen to this, “Be Carefulnot to be your own God, Selah (pause and calmly think). Ladies and gentlemen, we can’t exist without God, the very life you live, the very breath in your lungs; all belongs to Him, therefore, “Only fear the Lord [with awe and profound reverence] and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.” Read 1 Samuel 12:24 (AMP). Listen to this, “In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize HimAnd He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].” Read Proverbs 3:6 (AMP). Here is that word again, asking us to “REMEMBER the Lord our God.” Deuteronomy 8:1(NIV) says, “BE CAREFUL to obey all the commands I am giving you today.” Beloved, every waking moment and breathing day; God’s command is given, therefore, we must BE CAREFUL to REMEMBER everything the Lord has done for us.

Watch this, “BE CAREFULwhen you have eaten your fill, be sure to PRAISE the Lord your God for the good land He has given you.” Read Deuteronomy 8:1,10 (NIV). It is imperative we REMEMBER where the plenty came from, and equally important to know the root of your success; REMEMBER.

BE CAREFUL“! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey His commands, regulations and decrees that I am giving you today.” Deuteronomy 8:11 (NIV). Beloved, there is an obvious reason why we are being counselled at this time to BE CAREFUL, and it will behove us to heed this instruction.

BE CAREFULdo not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.” Read Deuteronomy 8:14 (NIV). Beloved, these are Bible verses re-echoing God’s warning and counsel to you and me in this hour.

REMEMBER, “But God is so rich in mercy; He loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, He gave us back our lives again when He raised Christ from the dead—only by His undeserved favour have we ever been saved— and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with Him in the heavenly realms—all because of what Christ Jesus did.” Read Ephesians 2:4 (AMP).

Father, thank You.
