God delights in you: So should you – Part 1b

fullsizeoutput_3dIt is extremely important for you and me to understand that “God delights in us.” I say this because the natural human instinct is to seek approval, recognition or even validation from people, and when we do not get the type of recognition from our associates and family, one feels disheartened. Listen to this beautiful text, “For Jehovah enjoys His people; He will save the humble. Let His people rejoice in this honour. Let them sing for joy as they lie upon their beds.” Read Psalm 149:4 (TLB). I want to re-enforce this truth, God greatly cares for you, His affection towards you will never ever change, yes, it will never change.

The Bible says, “For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Read Romans 8:38-39 (AMP). God made up His mind a long time ago that no matter what you did, He will remain committed to you because of His covenant love, this is great news folks.

Please hear my heart on this, “God delights in you.” Now the question should be asked since God delights in me, what then should I do? Great question. And here is the simple, yet profound respond, ‘Delight also in yourself, because your delight is in God.’ Hence the Bible says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Read Colossians 1:27 (NIV). The reason you are in delight of yourself is that Christ is in you.

Someone might be saying, Ricky, you don’t know what I have done etc. Or one might think they have done things that are irredeemable, but I want to say to you right now, “The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love, He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.” Read Zephaniah 3:17 (AMPC).
