Talk to Jesus about your past, present and future – Part 2

DuECMFgX4AIRWuzI am graven on the palms of His hands. I am never out of His mind. All my knowledge of Him depends on His sustained initiative in knowing me. I know Him, because He first knew me, and continues to know me. He knows me as a friend, One who loves me; and there is no moment when His eye is off me or His attention distracted for me, and no moment, therefore, when His care falters.” J. I. Packer.

Listen to what the Bible says, “Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s PRESENCE. For hasn’t He promised you, I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” Read Hebrews 13:5 (TPT). This is huge is it not? God does not look like someone who is ready to relinquish His hold on us.

Sometimes the experiences of one’s past (Good or Bad) can have such a stronghold such that if not cast on the Lord, has the potential to truncate one’s journey or faith and trust in the Lord. Listen to this text, “God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refugeYou’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need You.” Read Psalm 46:1 (TPT). Watch this, God said, “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.” Read Exodus 33:14 (MSG).

Consequently, I believe this text makes so much sense, “casting ALL your cares [ALL your anxieties, ALL your worries, and ALL your concerns, once and for ALL] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” Read 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP). Watch this, the word ALL means ALL in any context or dictionary – Greek or Hebrews or ethnicity, ALL means ALL. Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting.

You might have had some sort of unpleasant and pleasant experiences in the past of your life, but right now in your present, I want you to consider this, “Reflecting on the past and laughing in the present.” Ron Christian. We are to reflect on our past quite alright,  but not to be prisoners of our past, because we have a beautiful and bright future ahead.

My Father God, thank You for I know with certainty that my PRESENT is right in Your hands, and I am eternally grateful for Your faithfulness towards me in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
