Now that we have the past present and future taken care of because you now know God has you in the palm of His hands, and that there are no more hangovers from the past to deal or contend with. The question then becomes, what should we be doing with the liberty we have in Christ? The liberty we have in Christ is for us to be about our Father’s business – Preaching the gospel of Christ. This liberty we have is for you and me to “Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.” Read Colossians 3:23 (TPT). Preaching the gospel of Christ is not a half-hearted exercise, it is 100% commitment.
Watch this, “You say you do not know what God’s will is, but I’ll tell you what it is. Above all, it is that you know Christ and then that your neighbours hear about Christ. That is His will. So often we sit around twiddling our thumbs, dreaming about God’s will in some distant future when we are not even willing to stand up on our own two feet, walk down the street, and do God’s will right now.” John F. MacArthur.
Therefore, focusing on the present and the future should not pre-occupy us, instead what we ought to be pre-occupied with is making sure we explore every channel available at our disposal to get the message of Christ out in the open and to as many people as possible within our sphere of influence.
Ladies and gentlemen, the world can’t continue like this; acting like there is no God, and for you and me the people of God, we can’t continue to be passive Christians, burying one’s head in the sand. The Bible says, “Therefore, each one must answer for himself and give a personal account of his own life before God.” Read Romans 14:12 (TPT). Listen to this, God set in motion an accountability system before the foundations of the earth, and whether we know it or not, everyone will be judged. Selah. The day of reckoning will surely happen. The Bible counsels us, “For the time is ripe for judgment to begin in God’s own household. And if it starts with us, what will be the fate of those who refuse to obey the gospel of God?” Read 1 Peter 4:17 (TPT). Can you see this? It is time for you and me to wake up!
Liberal theology will do no one any good, quite frankly it does more harm than good. Listen to this, “A whole new generation of Christians has come up believing that it is possible to ‘accept’ Christ without forsaking the world.” A. W. Tozer. We are on planet earth for a reason, do you want to know what for? “To be the light of the world,” and the “salt of the earth.” This ladies and gentlemen is our NOW WHAT?
This is my prayer “My heart spills over with thanks to God for the way He continually empowers me, and to our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, who found me trustworthy and who authorized me to be His partner in this ministry.” Read 1 Timothy 1:12 (TPT).
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Praise the Lord for reminding us about the importance of using our liberty to serve the purpose of God in the earth.
Blessings to the Kolumns team.
