Past, present and future are taken care of: Now what? – Part 5

DuECMFgX4AIRWuzSome people might think Christianity is about compromises; well, the truth can’t be compromised. The scriptures are quite clear with their counsel to you and me. We don’t have the luxury to interpret the text to suit one’s selfish desires. Listen to this, “In many churches, Christianity has been watered down until the solution is so weak that if it were poison it would not hurt anyone, and if it were medicine it would not cure anyone!” A. W. Tozer.

Whilst the church embraces inclusivity, we must not compromise on our values for the sake of trying to be accommodating. As the people of God, we must have strong convictions and stand for what we believe no matter the cost. And as Christians, we must stop leaving shallow lives – pursuing things of the world, because there is a harvest of souls out there for you and me to reach. See what the Bible says, “Beloved ones, God has called us to live a life of freedom in the Holy Spirit. But don’t view this wonderful freedom as an opportunity to set up a base of operations in the natural realm. Freedom means that we become so completely free of self-indulgence that we become servants of one another, expressing love in all we do.” Read Galatians 5:13 (TPT).

Brothers and sisters, we do not have the time to be passive in our Christian walk; lives are at stake and God has equipped us to march forward. I recall the text when Moses cried out to God when they were faced with a road to nowhere; the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward [toward the sea].” Read Exodus 14:15 (AMP).

Listen to this, “Cursed is the one who does the work of the Lord negligently, and cursed is the one who restrains his sword from blood [in executing the judgment of the Lord].” Read Jeremiah 48:10 (AMP). Can you see this? Preaching the gospel is non-negotiable, we must “be about our Father’s business” – preaching the Word of God. Ladies and gentlemen, this is our Now What?

Father in Heaven, thank You for Your Loving kindness and exceeding abundant grace. You are my awesome God, and You delight in my prosperity – spiritual development and insight in the name of Jesus.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
