I recall a conversation I had with my theological professor, and this was what he said, “Anxiety is real, but we must attack it through the Word of God.” He also said, taking pills or any other medication is not the solution to curing anxiety. The pills or medication are meant to be short-term treatment options for anxiety and panic disorders, but because of people’s desire to cure anxiety, they get addicted to taking pills.
What is ANXIETY? It is the feeling of fear and panic. Anxiety has become a mental health issue, and we must first recognise, then isolate it. For example, where is this anxiety coming from, and where to go to look for help. In our society today, there are many things we face which can cause anxiety or what I will call dis-ease. However, the fact that anxiety presents itself does not mean we have to participate with it.
Let us start by looking at what the Bible says or instructs us to do, “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, BUT in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Read Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP).
Listen to this, “It is said that our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength.” Charles Spurgeon. Worrying from now until the next day will not change the circumstance.
Over the next few chapters, we will discuss Biblical antidotes for curing anxiety. Philippians chapter 4 gives us clear ways to avoid anxiety, and this we will be exploring together, and allowing the Holy Spirit enlighten the eyes of our heart.
Heavenly Father, thank You for my foundation and trust is in You and Your Word. I refuse to be anxious about anything because, You, my Father are with me, and for that, I am extremely grateful.

Indeed worrying does not take away the problem, it takes away the individual. Loving Kulomns.
