When you hear the term men and women of God, one can be forgiven when they think perfection or flawless, but, the term perfection and flawless is and can only be attributed to Christ. Men and women of God face untold or unspoken challenges; some won’t bother speaking to anyone about because there is really nothing anyone can or will say that will bring an end to their private struggle, only a miracle from God will do.
The private struggle can be anything, from suffering in one’s health, a lack of suitable opportunities in career, dreams, and desires not manifesting quick enough, however, the Bible says, “We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 (TPT).
When we look through the Scriptures, there are several examples of godly men (not gender-specific) who went through terrible and horrible struggles in their walk with God. For example, our Lord and Saviour Christ went to the cross and died a horrible death. David, a man after God’s own heart experienced immense private struggles which are well documented. Daniel is another; a man of the spirit and of the Word who faced immense pressure for the sake of standing on God’s word; the list is endless. What I plan to do in subsequent posts will be to highlight the struggles of people in the Bible and how God helped them through.
The fact that we are men and women of God does not shield us from the pressures of life. The Bible says, “My fellow believers when it seems as though you are facing nothing, but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things.” Read James 1:2-3 (TPT).
“When God gets us alone through suffering, heartbreak, temptation, disappointment, sickness, or by thwarted friendship – when He gets us absolutely alone, and we are totally speechless, unable to ask even one question, then He begins to teach us.” Oswald Chambers. Watch this, during times of private struggles, it is an opportunity to learn the ways of God.
My Father, you are my “very present help in the time of trouble,” and I look to You my Lord as my helper, my redeemer, my healer, and my comforter.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Wow… I thought godly men walk the face of this planet without any troubles at all, until I read this post.

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have to face . All you need to remember is that God will never let you down: he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit ;he’ll always be there to help you come through it
