Build according to God’s pattern – Part 7

“We ask that Your kingdom will come now. May Your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.” Read Matthew 6:10 (TLB). Can you see this? In other words, everything as a first must be established in the heavenly realm, else, one will be building lopsided structures if not first established by God.

“There is not one person who can hide their thoughts from God, for nothing that we do remains a secret, and nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenceless before His eyes, to whom we must render an account.” Read Hebrews 4:13 (AMP). Brothers and sisters, there is always going to be a day of reckoning, and just like the motto of the Boys Scout, “Be prepared.”  Are you prepared?

And one of the many ways to get prepared is always to seek God’s design through His Word. Are you aware, God speaks to you and me primarily through His Word, therefore, it will be wise for us to be like the Bereans, who were nobler than their Thessalonica brethren. And why was this so? The Bible says, “They went and researched the Scriptures.” Read Acts 17:11 (NLT).

  • Studying the Word of God– “Merely reading the Bible is no use at all without we study it thoroughly, and hunt it through, as it were, for some great truth.” Dwight L. Moody. The Bible says, “I will study your commandments and reflect on Your ways. I will delight in Your decrees and not forget Your Word.” Read Psalm 119:15-16. Building according to the pattern will require embracing the “…Sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God.” Read Ephesians 4:17. Watch this, “Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of Your Word makes my pathway clear.” Read Psalm 119:105 (TPT). Beloved, everything starts with the Word and ends with the Word, hence, “In the beginning was the Word…” John 1:1. “I am the Aleph and the Tav, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Completion.” Read Revelation 22:13 (TPT). Listen to this quote, “God has clothed His thoughts in Words, and there is no way to know Him except by knowing the Scriptures.” John Stott.

Nothing will so enlarge the intellect, nothing so magnify the whole soul of man, as a devout, earnest, continued, investigation of the great subject of the Deity. The most excellent study for expanding the soul is the science of Christ and Him crucified and the knowledge of the Godhead in the glorious Trinity.Charles Spurgeon.

O, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus because He first loved me.” Alan Jackson – Precious Memories Volume II. My Father in heaven, I am extremely grateful, “But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves.” Read 2 Corinthians 4:7 (AMP).

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
