There can be several reasons why God will say no. Beloved, I have not come across anyone who likes to take no for an answer! And I intend on showing us through the Scriptures why we should be comfortable with no for an answer from God without having the wrong attitude. Let me establish first, “Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” Read Joshua 21:45 (ESV). Listen to this, “God is not a man, that He would lie, nor a son of man, that He would change His mind; has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Read Numbers 23:19 (NASB). Watch this, “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfil it.” Read Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP). Beloved, I have established that God can and should be trusted. Therefore, if He makes you a promise, be rest assured, He will do it.
