True followers of Christ will have to stand alone and be comfortable with that decision because the Almighty God is with them. Listen to this, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Read Joshua 1:9 (ESV). This is a command [pause and calmly think]! Take this to the bank of your heart, and draw from it every waking moment, knowing God is always on your side.
Now, how does a change of heart happen? The Bible helps us answer this question, “I will” give you a new heart. Ezekiel 25. God is the one who will give you a new heart. What does this mean? God will conduct a heart surgery where He would remove the stony heart [stubborn and self-willed] and replace it with the heart of flesh [pliable and responsive] to the new nature. Listen to this, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” Read 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB). In other words, the stony heart is cauterised, hence, “the old things passed away,” and “behold new things have come.” Now, let us ask ourselves this question, what are these new things, the Bible refers to? Look at this beloved, “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.” Read Jeremiah 31:31-34 (ASV).
Watch this, can you now see the importance of David’s profound prayer, “Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Read Psalm 51:7-10 (ASV). Listen to this, “Let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water.” Read Hebrews 10:22 (ASV).
Dear Lord, thank you for the truth and insight from your word. Thank You for the preciousness of fellowshipping with and Your word. It is indeed by Your mercy that I stand! “For Your graciousness toward me is great, and You have saved my soul from the depths of Sheol [death].” Read Psalm 86:13 (NASB).

Je vais enlever le cœur de pierre de votre corps et le remplacer par un cœur qui est voulu par Dieu, pas volontaire. Je mettrai mon Esprit en vous et vous permettrai de faire ce que je vous dis et de vivre selon mes commandements.

Les vrais disciples du Christ devront rester seuls et être à l’aise avec cette décision parce que le Dieu Tout-Puissant est avec eux. Écoutez ceci: “Ne vous ai-je pas commandé? Soyez forts et courageux. N’ayez pas peur, et ne soyez pas consternés, car le Seigneur ton Dieu est avec vous partout où vous allez. Lire Josué 1:9 (ESV). C’est une commande [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement]! Amenez cela à la rive de votre cœur et tirez-en à chaque instant éveillé, sachant que Dieu est toujours de votre côté.
Maintenant, comment un changement de cœur se produit-il? La Bible nous aide à répondre à cette question: “Je vais” vous donner un cœur nouveau. Ézéchiel 25. Dieu est celui qui vous donnera un cœur nouveau. Qu’est-ce que cela signifie? Dieu procédera à une chirurgie cardiaque où Il enlèvera le cœur pierreux [têtu et volontaire] et le remplacera par le cœur de chair [souple et sensible] à la nouvelle nature. Écoutez ceci: “Par conséquent, si quelqu’un est en Christ, cette personne est une nouvelle création; les vieilles choses sont mortes; voici, de nouvelles choses sont arrivées. Lire 2 Corinthiens 5:17 (NASB). En d’autres termes, le cœur pierreux est cautérisé, par conséquent, “les vieilles choses sont mortes” et “voyez de nouvelles choses sont venues.” Maintenant, posons-nous cette question, quelles sont ces nouvelles choses auxquelles la Bible se réfère? Regardez ce bien-aimé: “Mais c’est l’alliance que je ferai avec la maison d’Israël après ces jours-là, dit Jéhovah: Je mettrai ma loi dans leurs parties intérieures, et dans leur cœur je l’écrirai; et je serai leur Dieu, et ils seront mon peuple. Et ils n’enseigneront plus à chaque homme son prochain, et à chaque homme son frère, en disant: Connais Jéhovah; car ils me connaîtront tous, du plus petit d’entre eux au plus grand d’entre eux, dit Jéhovah: car je pardonnerai leur iniquité, et je ne me souviendrai plus de leur péché. Lire Jérémie 31:31-34 (ASV).
Regardez ceci, pouvez-vous maintenant voir l’importance de la prière profonde de David: “Purifiez-moi avec l’hysope, et je serai pur: lavez-moi, et je serai plus blanc que la neige. Fais-moi entendre la joie et la joie, afin que les os que tu as brisés se réjouissent. Cache ton visage de mes péchés et efface toutes mes iniquités. Crée en moi un cœur pur, ô Dieu; et renouveler un esprit juste en moi. Lire Psaume 51:7-10 (ASV). Écoutez ceci: “Approchons-nous d’un vrai cœur dans la plénitude de la foi, en ayant nos cœurs aspergés d’une mauvaise conscience: et en ayant notre corps lavé avec de l’eau pure. Lire Hébreux 10:22 (ASV).
Cher Seigneur, merci pour la vérité et la perspicacité de ta parole. Merci pour la préciosité de la communion avec et Ta parole. C’est en effet par Ta miséricorde que je me tiens debout! “Car Ta grâce envers moi est grande, et Tu as sauvé mon âme des profondeurs du Sheol [mort].” Lire le Psaume 86:13 (NASB).
