Beloved, who is God to you? The Bible helps us understand who God is through His name. We have been learning about the Name of God; to better understand, His unchangeable holiness. Ezekiel 48:35 gives us an understanding of God’s holiness, which the children of Israel despised and rejected. As a consequence of their rejection, God’s presence departed, not only from the gates of the city but also from the temple and its people.
Yahweh Shammah [The Lord is there]. God is Omnipresent. In other words, He is everywhere [pause and calmly think]. Some people think they can run from God. Quoting Dr Osgood, ‘Someone who was swallowed by large fish has a story to tell.’ Recall the story of Jonah in chapter 1 verse 3; 17, “But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard; and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. But God had another plan. Verse 17, “Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”
The Psalmist writes, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.” Read Psalm 139:7-8 (NASB). Watch this, “I am everywhere—both near and far, in heaven and on earth. There are no secret places where you can hide from me.” Read Jeremiah 3:23-24 (CEV). Why do we think we can hide anything or run from God? He is Omnipresent. Listen beloved, “And there is no creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” Read Hebrews 4:13 (ASV). Can you see this? All things are naked and laid open before God.
Our Father in Heaven, “The earth is Jehovah’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Read Psalm 24:1 (ASV). Everything that we are, God, came from You. Thank You for Your wonderful care for me, I am eternally grateful.

Bien-aimés, qui est Dieu pour vous? La Bible nous aide à comprendre qui est Dieu par Son nom. Nous avons appris à connaître le Nom de Dieu; pour mieux comprendre, Sa sainteté immuable. Ézéchiel 48:35 nous donne une compréhension de la sainteté de Dieu, que les enfants d’Israël méprisaient et rejetaient. En conséquence de leur rejet, la présence de Dieu s’est éloignée, non seulement des portes de la ville ; mais aussi du temple et de ses habitants.
Yahweh Shammah [Le Seigneur est là]. Dieu est omniprésent. En d’autres termes, Il est partout [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement]. Certaines personnes pensent qu’elles peuvent fuir Dieu. Citant le Dr Osgood, “Quelqu’un qui a été avalé par de gros poissons a une histoire à raconter.” Rappelez-vous l’histoire de Jonas au chapitre 1, versets 3 et 17, “Mais Jonas s’enfuit du Seigneur et se dirigea vers Tarsis. Il descendit à Joppé, où il trouva un navire à destination de ce port. Après avoir payé le billet, il est monté à bord et; a navigué vers Tarsis pour fuir le Seigneur. Mais Dieu avait un autre plan. Verset 17: “Or, l’Éternel donna un énorme poisson pour avaler Jonas, et Jonas était dans le ventre du poisson trois jours et trois nuits.”
Le psalmiste écrit: “Où puis-je aller de Ton Esprit? Ou où puis-je fuir Ta présence? Si je monte au ciel, Tu es là; Si je fais mon lit dans le Sheol, voici, Tu es là.” Lisez le Psaume 139:7-8 (NASB). Regardez ceci: “Je suis partout, près ou loin, au ciel et sur la terre.” Il n’y a pas d’endroits secrets où tu peux te cacher de moi.” Lisez Jérémie 3:23-24 (CEV). Pourquoi pensons-nous que nous pouvons cacher quoi que ce soit ou fuir Dieu? Il est omniprésent. Écoutez bien-aimé, “Et il n’y a pas de créature qui ne se manifeste à ses yeux, mais toutes choses sont nues et ouvertes devant les yeux de celui avec qui nous devons faire.” Lisez Hébreux 4:13 (ASV). Voyez-vous cela? Toutes choses sont nues et ouvertes devant Dieu.
Notre Père céleste: “La terre appartient à Jéhovah et à sa plénitude; le monde, et ceux qui y habitent.” Lisez le Psaume 24:1 (ASV). Tout ce que je suis vient de Toi. Merci pour vos merveilleux soins pour moi. Je vous en serai éternellement reconnaissant.
