God is all seeing, He knows all things, and He says, “I know Ephraim and Israel is not hidden from Me; for now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot; Israel has defiled itself.” Read Hosea 5:3 (LSB). Sometimes, we think God can be placated with our religious, ritualistic practices. Let us do this little exercise, insert your name where Ephraim is, and the text will read like this, ‘I know you Ricky, nothing is hidden from me.’ Listen to this, “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but they remove their hearts far from Me, and their fear of Me is in the command of men learned by rote.” Read Isaiah 29:13 (LSB). We seem to perform a lot of religious rituals, instituted by men, as a means to badger God. But we must understand that God demands holiness, because He is a Holy.
Anything born out of idolatrous worship is an abomination to God. Here is a question I would like you to consider. Are you in an idolatrous relationship with God? Listen to this, “No one of illegitimate birth shall enter the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation, none of his seed shall enter the assembly of Yahweh.” Read Deuteronomy 23:2 (LSB). Beloved, we should not attend or worship at just any place of so-called worship [pause and calmly think]. The Word of God is not necessarily preached at every Church [pause and calmly think]. See what the Bible says, “But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commands of men.” Read Matthew 15:9 (LSB).

In other words, their daily rituals, like sacrifices, were rejected by God. Beloved, we can be engaged in our ritualistic religious obligations, but it yields nothing because God has withdrawn from them. One can religiously go to Church and probably serve in a department but their heart is careless towards God. Those sacrifices, the Lord will not accept.
Listen to King David’s prayer, “For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise, I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” Read Psalm 51:16-17 (LSB). This is some prayer, is it not?

Dieu voit tout, Il connaît toutes choses. Il dit: “Je sais qu’Éphraïm et Israël ne Me sont pas cachés ; pour l’instant, ô Ephraïm, tu as joué la prostituée; Israël s’est souillé lui-même.” Lisez Osée 5 :3 (LSB). Parfois, nous pensons que Dieu peut être apaisé avec nos pratiques religieuses et rituelles. Laissez-nous faire ce petit exercice, insérez votre nom là où se trouve Ephraïm, et le texte se lira comme ceci: “Je te connais Ricky, rien ne m’est caché.” Écoutez ceci: “Parce que ce peuple s’approche de sa bouche et M’honore de ses lèvres, mais il éloigne son cœur de Moi, et sa crainte de Moi est dans le commandement d’hommes instruits par cœur.” Lisez Ésaïe 29 :13 (LSB). Nous semblons accomplir beaucoup de rituels religieux, institués par les hommes, comme un moyen de harceler Dieu. Mais nous devons comprendre que Dieu exige la sainteté parce qu’Il est Saint.
Tout ce qui naît d’un culte idolâtre est une abomination pour Dieu. Voici une question que j’aimerais que vous réfléchissiez. Êtes-vous dans une relation idolâtre avec Dieu? Écoutez ceci: “Nul de naissance illégitime n’entrera dans l’assemblée de Yahvé; même jusqu’à la dixième génération, aucune de sa postérité n’entrera dans l’assemblée de Yahvé.” Lisez Deutéronome 23:2 (LSB). Bien-aimés, nous ne devrions pas assister ou adorer dans n’importe quel lieu de soi-disant culte [pause et réflexion calme]. La Parole de Dieu n’est pas nécessairement prêchée dans chaque Église [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement]. Voyez ce que dit la Bible: “Mais c’est en vain qu’ils M’adorent, enseignant comme doctrines les commandements des hommes.” Lisez Matthieu 15 :9 (LSB).

En d’autres termes, leurs rituels quotidiens, comme les sacrifices, étaient rejetés par Dieu. Bien-aimés, nous pouvons être engagés dans nos obligations religieuses rituelles, mais cela ne donne rien parce que Dieu s’en est retiré. On peut aller religieusement à l’église et probablement servir dans un département, mais son cœur est négligent envers Dieu. Ces sacrifices, le Seigneur ne les acceptera pas.
Écoutez la prière du roi David: “Car tu ne prends pas plaisir au sacrifice, sinon je le donnerais; Vous n’êtes pas satisfait de l’offrande brûlée. Les sacrifices de Dieu sont un esprit brisé; un cœur brisé et contrit, ô Dieu, Tu ne mépriseras pas.” Lisez le Psaume 51 :16-17 (LSB). C’est une prière, n’est-ce pas?
