Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. “Unity, to be real, must stand the severest strain without breaking.” Mahatma Gandhi. Those antagonistic or hostile to God’s Word and His people is trying so hard to sow the seeds of discord amongst believers in Christ. Therefore, by the mighty power of God’s hand, we must be able to stand the pressures or external influences from without, knowing that “God is with and for us.” Read Isaiah 41:10 (ESV). Recall the Bible says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Read John 16:33 (KJV). Lasting peace comes from walking in unity with the Lord.
One Lord: The Bible says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Read Galatians 3:28 (KJV). The sacrificial death of Christ on the cross was the unification of the body of Jews and Gentiles. Hence, the Bible says, we were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise…” “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Read Ephesians 2:11-13 (NKJV). Listen to this, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Read Acts 4:12 (KJV). Therefore, brothers and sisters, salvation of souls rests solely on Christ. Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” Read John 14:6 (KJV). Beloved, it bears repeating, Our Lord and Saviour is the only way to salvation. Paul said, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.” Read Galatians 1:6 (KJV). There is only One Lord, One Savior and One God!!!
One Faith: For you and me to survive and live this life the way God intended, depends on our unity with the Lord. The Bible says, “being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace…until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Read Ephesians 4:3,13 (LSB). Look at this exhortation in the Scriptures, “I felt the necessity to write to you exhorting that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.” Jude 3 (LSB). Listen here beloved, counterfeit gospel misleads those who need to hear the true gospel. And I believe, this is why we are being counselled to contend [“a contest, competition”) – properly, to contend (literally, “struggle upon, appropriately“), i.e. with skill and commitment in opposing whatever is not of faith (God’s persuasion)]. In other words, Jude is challenging us to ‘wage war against error in all forms and fight strenuously for the truth, like a soldier who has been entrusted with a sacred task of guarding a holy treasure.’ Jude did not only write that we should contend for the faith, but we should also know sound doctrine. The Bible says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.” Read Colossians 3:16 (LSB). Watch what happens when we know doctrine, “So that we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming.” Read Ephesians 4:14 (LSB).
Heavenly Father, this is our prayer to you, “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” Read Psalm 86:11 (KJV).

Il y a un seul corps et un seul Esprit, de même que vous avez été appelés dans l’espoir de votre appel; un seul Seigneur, une seule foi, un seul baptême ; un seul Dieu et Père de tous, qui est au-dessus de tout, par tous et en tous. “L’unité, pour être réelle, doit résister aux contraintes les plus sévères sans se briser.” Mahatma Gandhi. Ceux qui sont antagonistes ou hostiles à la Parole de Dieu et à Son peuple s’efforcent si fort de semer les graines de la discorde parmi les croyants en Christ. Par conséquent, par la puissance de la main de Dieu, nous devons être capables de résister aux pressions ou aux influences extérieures de l’extérieur, sachant que « Dieu est avec et pour nous.» Lisez Ésaïe 41:10 (LSG). Rappelez-vous que la Bible dit: “Je vous ai dit ces choses, afin que vous ayez la paix en moi. Dans le monde, vous aurez des tribulations, mais prenez courage. J’ai vaincu le monde.” Lisez Jean 16:33 (LSG). La paix durable vient de la marche dans l’unité avec le Seigneur.
Un seul Seigneur: La Bible dit: “Il n’y a plus ni Juif ni Grec, il n’y a plus ni esclave ni libre, il n’y a plus d’homme ni de femme, car vous êtes tous un en Jésus-Christ.” Lisez Galates 3:28 (LSG). La mort sacrificielle du Christ sur la croix était l’unification du corps des Juifs et des Gentils. C’est pourquoi, dit la Bible, nous étions des étrangers de la communauté d’Israël et des étrangers de l’alliance de la promesse…”Mais maintenant, en Jésus-Christ, vous qui étiez autrefois éloigne vous avez été rapprochés par le sang du Christ.” Lisez Éphésiens 2:11-13 (LSG). Écoutez ceci: “Il n’y a pas non plus de salut en aucun autre, car il n’y a sous le ciel aucun autre nom donné parmi les hommes qui nous soit sauvé.” Lisez Actes 4:12 (LSG). C’est pourquoi, frères et sœurs, le salut des âmes repose uniquement sur le Christ. Jésus dit: “Je suis le chemin, la vérité et la vie: nul ne vient au Père que par moi.” Lisez Jean 14:6 (LSG). Bien-aimés, il vaut la peine de le répéter, Notre Seigneur et Sauveur est l’unique chemin vers le salut. Paul a dit: “Je m’étonne que vous soyez si tôt éloignés de celui qui vous a appelés à la grâce de Christ pour un autre évangile.” Lisez Galates 1:6 (LSG). Il n’y a qu’un seul Seigneur, un seul Sauveur et un seul Dieu!!!
Une seule foi: Pour que vous et moi puissions survivre et vivre cette vie comme Dieu l’a voulu, cela dépend de notre unité avec le Seigneur. La Bible dit: “S’appliquant à garder l’unité de l’Esprit dans le lien de la paix…jusqu’à ce que nous parvenions tous à l‘unité de la foi et à la pleine connaissance du Fils de Dieu, à un homme mûr, à la mesure de la stature qui appartient à la plénitude du Christ. Lisez Éphésiens 4:3,13 (LSB). Regardez cette exhortation dans les Écritures: “J’ai ressenti le besoin de vous écrire pour vous exhorter à combattre ardemment pour la foi qui a été transmise une fois pour toutes aux saints.” Jude 3 (LSB). Écoutez ici, bien-aimés, l’évangile contrefait égare ceux qui ont besoin d’entendre le véritable évangile. Et je crois que c’est la raison pour laquelle il nous est conseillé de lutter [«un concours, une compétition”) – correctement, de lutter (littéralement, “lutter sur, de manière appropriée “), c’est-à-dire avec habileté et engagement à s’opposer à tout ce qui n’est pas de la foi (la persuasion de Dieu)]. En d’autres termes, Jude nous met au défi de « faire la guerre à l’erreur sous toutes ses formes et de lutter avec acharnement pour la vérité, comme un soldat à qui l’on a confié la tâche sacrée de garder un trésor sacré.” Jude n’a pas seulement écrit que nous devons lutter pour la foi, mais nous devons aussi connaître la saine doctrine. La Bible dit: “Que la Parole de Christ habite en vous abondamment.” Lisez Colossiens 3:16 (LSB). Observez ce qui se passe lorsque nous connaissons la doctrine: “Pour que nous ne soyons plus des enfants, ballottés çà et là par les vagues et emportés par tous les vents de la doctrine, par la ruse des hommes, par la ruse dans des intrigues trompeuses.” Lisez Éphésiens 4:14 (LSB).
Père céleste, voici la prière que nous te adressons: “Enseigne-moi ton chemin, Seigneur; Je marcherai dans ta vérité, j‘unirai mon cœur pour craindre ton nom.” Lisez Psaume 86:11 (LSG).
