The Bible says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Read Hebrews 11:6 (KJV). Listen to this quote, “Faith is a reasoning trust, a trust which reckons thoughtfully and confidently upon the trustworthiness of God.” John Stott.
Believing in God is the most important thing when it comes to having a trouble-free heart. The Bible says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Read Acts 16:31 (KJV). The Bible says, “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper ” Read 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV). Listen to this, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Read Mark 1:15 (KJV). “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Read Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV). Beloved, when we believe in God, we acknowledge His absolute Sovereignty; acknowledging His trustworthiness. The Bible says, “For I am watching over My word to do it.” Read Jeremiah 1:12 (LSB).
The story of the Moabites and the Ammonites [offsprings of Lot], whose intention was to overthrow Jehoshaphat. The Bible records that Jehoshaphat feared, when he was informed that “There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.” Read 2 Chronicles 20:1-3 (KJV). Here we see that Jehoshaphat was troubled, but he took the ‘appropriate spiritual’ response, the king and the nation appealed to God in prayer and fasting. The Bible says, God responded immediately, by sending a message through the prophet Jahaziel saying, “Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.” Read 2 Chronicles 20:15-18 (KJV).
Let us fast forward to verse 20 of the 20th chapter of second Chronicles, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”
The Bible says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Read John 16:33 (KJV).

Écoutez cette citation: “La foi est une confiance raisonnée, une confiance qui compte de manière réfléchie et confiante sur la fiabilité de Dieu.” John Stott.
Croire en Dieu est la chose la plus importante lorsqu’il s’agit d’avoir un cœur sans problème. La Bible dit: “Crois au Seigneur Jésus-Christ, et tu seras sauvé, et ta maison.” Lisez Actes 16:31 (LSG). La Bible dit: “Et ils se levèrent de bon matin, et sortirent dans le désert de Tekoa; et comme ils sortaient, Josaphat se leva et dit: Écoutez-moi, ô Juda, et vous, habitants de Jérusalem; croyez au Seigneur votre Dieu, ainsi vous serez établis; croyez Ses prophètes, ainsi vous prospérerez.” Lire 2 Chroniques 20:20 (LSG). Enfin, “Le temps est accompli, et le royaume de Dieu est proche: repentez-vous, et croyez à l’évangile.” Lisez Marc 1:15 (LSG). Enfin, “Faites confiance au Seigneur de tout votre cœur; et ne vous penchez pas vers votre propre intelligence.” Dans toutes tes voies, reconnais-Le, et Il dirigera tes sentiers.” Lisez Proverbes 3:5-6 (LSG). Bien-aimés, lorsque nous croyons en Dieu, nous reconnaissons sa souveraineté absolue; reconnaissant sa fiabilité. La Bible dit: “Car je veille sur Ma parole pour le faire.” Lisez Jérémie 1:12 (LSB).

La Bible rapporte que Josaphat craignait, lorsqu’il fut informé que “Une grande multitude vient contre toi d’au-delà de la mer, de ce côté de la Syrie; et voici, ils sont à Hazazontamar, qui est Engedi.” Et Josaphat craignit, et se mit à chercher le Seigneur, et proclama un jeûne dans tout Juda Lisez 2 Chroniques 20:1-3 (LSG). Ici, nous voyons que Josaphat était troublé, mais il a pris la réponse ‘spirituelle appropriée’, le roi et la nation ont fait appel à Dieu dans la prière et le jeûne. La Bible dit: Dieu répondit aussitôt, en envoyant un message par l’intermédiaire du prophète Jahaziel disant: “Écoutez, tout Juda, et vous, habitants de Jérusalem, et vous, roi Josaphat, Ainsi vous dit le Seigneur: N’ayez pas peur et ne vous consternez pas à cause de cette grande multitude; car la bataille n’est pas à vous, mais à Dieu.” Demain, descendez contre eux: voici, ils montent près de la falaise de Ziz; et vous les trouverez au bout du ruisseau, devant le désert de Jeruel. Vous n’aurez pas besoin de combattre dans cette bataille: placez-vous, restez immobiles et voyez le salut du Seigneur avec vous, ô Juda et Jérusalem: ne craignez pas et ne soyez pas consternés; demain, allez contre eux; car le Seigneur sera avec vous. Et Josaphat baissa la tête, le visage contre terre; et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem tombèrent devant l’Éternel, adorant l’Éternel Lire 2 Chroniques 20:15-18 (LSG).
Avancons-nous au verset 20 du chapitre 20 des deuxièmes Chroniques, Josaphat se leva et dit: “Écoute-moi, ô Juda, et toi habitants de Jérusalem; crois au Seigneur ton Dieu, ainsi tu seras établi; crois ses prophètes, ainsi tu prospéreras.”
