According to the Westminster Shorter Catechism “Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God [Psalm 62:8], for all things agreeable to His will [1 John 5:14], in the name of Christ [John 16:23], with confession of our sins [Daniel 9:4] and thankful acknowledgement of His mercies [Philippians 4:6].” Prayer is talking to God in ways He can understand. And there is a way to talk to God in prayer; it is through His Word! Scripture says, “But we will [continue to] devote ourselves [steadfastly] to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Read Acts 6:4 (AMP).
