In love He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.” Read Ephesians 1:5-6 (NASB). In other words, “Spiritual Blessing” in this text refers to the blessing of redemption. Listen here, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law” Galatians 3:13a (NASB). Therefore, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.” Read Ephesians 1:7 (NASB). Oh, now I see it clearly, my redemption is an “Election of God’s grace” and not based on the works of the flesh or human effort or ingenuity.
