Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test [evaluate, examine and to approve] the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world.” Read 1 John 4:1 (AMP). Watch this, “Now these people were more noble and open-minded than those in Thessalonica, so they received the message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” Read Acts 17:11 (AMP).
