God weighs our actions

Justice-1Like the saying goes, “Actions speak louder than words.” God is more interested in our actions than in our words. Well, you might not fully agree with me on this, but I saw in the scriptures where it says, “Look deep into my heart, God and find out everything I am thinking.” Read Psalm 139:23 (CEV). So you can see from this verse of scripture that the intent and contents of our heart is already known by God, hence He is more interested in our actions, and because of this demand, the Bible says, “Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by Him deeds are weighed.” Read 1 Samuel 2:3 (NIV). I strongly believe, being decisive is a key ingredient to fulfilling Gods mandate on this earth. Why? Gods timeline is quite different from ours, hence whenever He instructs us according to His counsel, there is always an urgency, hence the Bible says, “All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me.” Read John 9:4 (NIV). Lord Jesus, have mercy!

It is quite interesting that the judiciary; an arm of government has as its symbol the weighing scale which indicates to me that there is a weight system on the earth. And in like manner, the Kingdom of God has its own weighing system. Either way, you and I would be judged from both perspectives; the weight of the judiciary as long as we remain law abiding citizens, and the weights of the Kingdom of God as long as we continue to walk in faith, hope and love. Listen to what the Bible says, “Tekel”you have been weighed on the scales [of righteousness] and found deficient.” Read Daniel 5:27 (AMP). Beloved, the weighing scales you and I should worry about the most is the weighing scales of Gods word. When you read between the line of the scripture we just quoted, “You have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.” To be found deficient  means to be lacking in something. Here is a thought, “As He is, so are we in this earth.” So think with me for a minute, was Jesus deficient in anything? Absolutely and under no circumstance, neither was any historical evidence presented to suggest Jesus was ever deficient. So here is a question, why are we deficient?
We are sometimes deficient because we lack accurate knowledge of Gods word, hence the Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge.” Read Hosea 4:6 (AMP). So when we reject knowledge of scriptures, we inadvertently reject the Lord because our actions become farther from what the Bible counsels. And this is why it is critically important that you find a solid word based Church, where you are taught Gods word with simplicity, clarity and accuracy. And I truly believe, we are in a season, where people would begin to endure sound Biblical truths; people are hungry for truth…
Let me ask this question, if we were to be put on the weighing scale of Gods word, in what direction would the scale tip? This is not a question to condemn, but to heigthen our awareness to Gods scale of measure. I think sometimes as Christians, we don’t consider these sort of areas, because we are probably driven by every other thing else but the word of God. Like I alluded to, this is to help us realise the level at which we must be operating from as Christians, as our actions are weighed; every action of ours is weighed on the scale of Gods word.  I want you to think about this, now that you are fully aware of the fact that God weighs the actions of our heart, how would we respond to situations and circumstances? How would we handle matters of the heart? To what degree are we willing to yield to what God and His word is telling us?

WHAT IS TIPPING YOUR SCALE? There are so many things that can easily tip our scale in the right or wrong direction; and whatever that thing is, it is an act of our will to succumb. Selah! Beloved, when the gavel goes down, WHAT WOULD YOUR SCALE REVEAL? Would we be hearing these words? “Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much.” Read Matthew 25:23 (AMP). Won’t it be so beautiful to hear these words from the lips of our Abba Father?

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
