Don’t struggle when you are in the storm, instead stay calm and allow the wave of God’s glory and the Holy Spirit carry you through the process. Watch this, you can’t battle the storm on your own, hence the disciples called out to God for help. In like manner, when you are faced with a storm, call out to God, incubate His Word in your heart, pray in the Spirit – speaking in tongues, declare and proclaim His daily benefits, for example, “The Lord is my shepherd…” “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” “The Lord is my helper.”
So what then is the purpose of storms?
- YOU BECOME FEARLESS. When you go through a storm and survive that experience, then it would be fair to say that nothing will shake you. I suppose your mindset would be, “Is this the best the storm has to offer.?” And dare I say, you might beat your chest and say, bring it on. Listen to what the Bible says, “Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, can say to Him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.” Read Psalm 91:1-2 (GNT). The Bible says, “I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.” Read Psalm 34:4 (AMP).
When you have the creator of the universe say this to you, “Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God.” Read Isaiah 41:10 (AMP). Then nothing should shake you, even when you are facing the biggest storm life throws at you. The Bible goes on further to say, “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Read 1 John 4:4 (AMP).
Have you not heard the scripture saying, “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Read Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT). Watch this, in the midst of the storm, you are never ever alone, and you can lean into God’s power and strength to help you weather the storm.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for instilling the Spirit of boldness and courage in me. As an heir and one with Christ, I have no fear, why? Because the Lord is my refuge and strength, Hallelujah.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Praise the Lord! I am fearless because the Greater one lives on the inside of me. Hallelujah. Thank you PR.
