You are not disadvantaged! And I say this unapologetically that you are in no way disadvantaged. When you talk to yourself like this and remind yourself to whom you belong to, I believe it unlocks the boldness within you to fulfil dreams and desires according to God’s plan for you. The host of heaven is saying to you and I, go ahead and become all that God has prepared for you; to give your world an experience of God’s goodness, grace and mercy which is reflected in our character. Here comes this question again, how do I leverage on the Holy Spirit to access this advantage?
- Be fully persuaded. The Bible says, “And we know that all things are working together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Read Romans 8:28 (KJV). As shocking as this statement might sound, it is the whole truth; the colour of your skin is working together for your good, your intonation is working together for your good, you being in a particular country is absolutely working together for your good. Recall the Bible says, “He created all the people of the world from one man, Adam, and scattered the nations across the face of the earth. He decided beforehand which should rise and fall, and when. He determined their boundaries.” Can you see this? The country where you were born, the family you came from was pre-determined before the foundations of this world. Consequently, you need to identify your purpose and fulfil it where God has placed you, and this is why I say again, you are not disadvantaged.
When you accept God’s plan and purpose for you, then nothing I think will intimidate you, why? Because you are comfortable with the person God created you to be, this is Good News. This is why I say to people, never question your identity; your identity is in Christ, hence “Herein is our love perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; because as He is, so are we in this world.” Read 1 John 4:17 (KJV). As an assignment for further study, I encourage you to find out how Jesus was, and how He operated in this earth realm. The Apostle Paul writes, “I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus…” Read Romans 14:14 (NIV). Watch this, I am absolutely sold out to this truth, I am not disadvantaged.” No matter what happens on the external or internal, this truth is etched in the recesses of my heart, hallelujah.
Jesus was fully convinced, persuaded and secure in who He was, and so should we. The heavens opened, and a voice spoke, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” This statement was God’s seal and authentication; which in actual fact was for our benefit. Jesus knew who he was, and so did God, hence He was able to say, “I am the light of the world; he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.” Read John 8:12 (NIV). This is a statement that comes from someone who is clear about their identity.
Dear Jesus, thank You for validating and accepting me as your beloved. I am eternally grateful for the love and care you daily shower over me in Jesus Name.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Thank you for reminding us. One can easily forget these precious truths.
