Speaking as the scriptures will have you and me understand it is when we speak in agreement to God’s Word. So as I began to meditate over and again, I came across this text from the Apostle Paul when he was writing to the Philippians. Let us listen to what he said, “And I have confidence (trust, assurance and security) from the Lord that…” Read Philippians 2:24 (NIV). Now, the text caught my attention because the Apostle Paul based his trust or expectation on the Lord’s ability and capability. I believe, Paul expressed through his writings his confident trust in God, and this could only have happened because of his constant fellowship with the Lord.
Now from this text, I want to show us how our speech can be the building blocks for every aspect of one’s life. I am going to place a demand on you my reader and co-laborer in the Lord to do the following. Look for a promise in the Word of God in any area and start laying the foundation using God’s Word. For example:
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Read Philippians 1:6 (NIV).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “God will bless me with everything I need, and will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.” Read 2 Corinthians 9:8 (CEV).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “He has picked me. He won’t drop me.’ Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” Read Isaiah 41:10 (MSG).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “He will restore health to me and heal all my wounds declares the LORD” Read Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “He will keep me in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!” Read Isaiah 26:3 (TLB).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” “He will teach all my children, and they will enjoy great peace.” Read Isaiah 54:13 (NLT).
“And I have confidence from the Lord that” … [insert God’s promises here].
Beloved, please hear my heart on this matter, it is because of my love for God’s people that I take the time to share these truths with you. I have come to understand that God loves us so much that He has given and covenanted, willed His blessings and promises to us, and this is why I am so passionate about sharing God’s Word with simplicity and clarity.
God’s abundant grace and blessings upon you as you continue your walk of victory and fervency in the Lord. Sharing in love and feasting on His Word. As an addition to this discussion, I have created a simple process flow in powerpoint to help us through building our blocks with the Word of God – Speaking- a building block.
And here is the key beloved, “You must believe what you say.” Selah.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
