Carefree and Careless – Part 1

1Daily we are presented with information or news even data which can easily cause someone to be disturbed. Now, how we handle or respond to the information presented to us is of vital importance. It could be the difference between peace or war. Therefore, it is critically important that we put up filters to sieve through every information presented to us. If we do not put up filters, then the inevitable could happen – unrest, disturbed soul etc.

The Bible says, “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” Read 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP). So let me use the street language you will understand, “IT’S ALL GOOD.” In other words, not giving a care in this world about anything, not phased, nor perturbed.

Think with me for a moment, why is it so hard for us to heed “Casting all your cares on HIM…”? Probably because we don’t fully trust the one who told us to, is that a possibility? Or could it be that we believe we have the answers and can rely on our own strength and intellect? Whichever one appeals to you can be an indicator of pride, Selah.

For so long and much of our lives, we have been trained to man up or don’t cave in under the pressure. Well, this sounds good, however, what if you are not able to bear up under the weight? Two things will happen, it is either you cast it off you or the weight will crush you. And I believe that is why the Bible says, “Pile your troubles on God’s shouldersHe’ll carry your load, He’ll help you out.” Read Psalm 55:23 (MSG). The choice is yours if you want to live a carefree and careless life.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
