I was reminded of a text which I heard someone do an exegesis on from Haggai 1:12 which says, “Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord God their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the Lord. Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, spoke the Lord’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you, says the Lord.” Read Haggai 1:12-13 (NIV).
I truly believe one of the ways to keep the tap open for God’s GLORY to flood our lives is to:
- Prepare your heart to do or obey the voice of the Lord.
- “But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].” Read James 1:22 (AMP).
- Prepare your heart to not only see your Pastor as a man but as a representative of God speaking inspired words.
- Prepare your heart to embrace and soak (Read Psalm 51:7 MSG) in the presence of God. Don’t always be in a hurry to leave Church. Be 100% committed and focused when you are at Church. Let your entire being be engaged and take in everything the Pastor is saying by the Spirit and whatever else the Holy Spirit is ministering to you.
I will urge you as a believer in Christ to really and always embrace God’s GLORY wherever there is a gathering of God’s people. Watch this, going to Church is extremely important, but there is much more to going to Church.
My Father, thank You. I desire and covet Your GLORY more than anything else in this world. You are an awesome God, and I am eternally grateful for Your loving kindness and exceeding abundant grace. I Love You, Lord.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Very insightful piece of writing which clearly explains the big difference between attending Church, and truly experiencing Church, for we can only truly experience Church when we embrace God’s glory!
Thank you Ricky.
