What Happens When We Don’t Pray? (Part 1)

I’ll be the first to admit that prayer is NOT everything. But I’ll so be the first to admit that there are certain situations in life where prayer is everything and no other thing can replace it.

There’s a very interesting story in Daniel Chapter that you probably know very well.

Put yourself in the shoes of Daniel and his friends. You have been hired as a technical assistant to the King of the most powerful empire in the world. Your job description is to assist the King with solutions on any and every matter.

The King has a dream and wants an interpretation. The only problem is that the King has forgotten his own dream and says you must first tell him the dream and then interprete otherwise you’ll be killed along with other advisers.

Outside of prayer, what other option was open to Daniel? But through prayer, Daniel gained access to this secret and the King’s dream was revealed to him.

So what happens when you don’t pray? You lack access to divine help and deep secrets that are only accessible in the realm of the spirit.

No wonder in Jeremiah 33:3, God invites us to access wisdom and secrets when He says “‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things which you still do not know about.’

Don’t wait till you find yourself in dire and desperate need of access to deep secrets and wisdom that cannot be found in the realm of men. Begin to build spiritual capacity in the spirit through consistent prayer.

Uncommon and Divine Wisdom is waiting for you in the place of prayer.
