“Christ is worth all, or He is worth nothing.” George Whitfield. Honouring God’s Word above else requires putting all your eggs in one basket – the basket of His unfailing love. In other words, you must be born again. This is the most important first and critical step if one is going to honour God. The Bible says, “You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ Read John 3:7 (NIV).
Christianity is not a game of chance or rolling the dice, it is definite and sure. Hence the Bible says, “Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true.” Read Joshua 21:45 (NIV). Friends, this is the sole reason you can TRUST Him to come through for you at any time.
Another way to honour God’s word above all else is to completely and unreservedly TRUST Him. The Bible says, “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.” Read Proverbs 3:5 (AMP). In other words, look no further but to the LORD alone, His promises will come good for you. Hold on, and keep watching through the eyes of your heart to see the salvation of the LORD with you.
My Father, I am extremely grateful to You for all that You have done and will do. As we lean into Your grace and mercy, thank You for open doors, thank You for unprecedented favour, thank You for peace in our nations during this festive season. Thank You for safe travel at this time of festivities. I love You, my Father, for You are good, “and Your mercies, they endure forever.” I am in awe of You my God.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
