Why waiting is important? – Part 7

Why waiting is importantHave you considered the reason why WAITING is important? Let us start with what the Bible says, “WAIT for and confidently expect the LordBe strong and let your heart take courageYes, WAIT for and confidently expect the Lord.” Read Psalm 27:14 (AMP). Watch this, the first and most important reason why we WAIT is for the LORD. This must be established else every other reason given for WAITING might just be a waste of time.

Listen to this, pregnant women have a reason for WAITING, so does the pilot of a plane, so does the builders of a house, so does a child learning to walk, so does a lawyer or doctor before they can be qualified to practice. Here is my point, the reason WAITING is important is so that there can be full development or clarity into what is required. Imagine if a pregnant woman wants to give birth immediately without WAITING for its full term? I will allow you to answer…

Some reasons for WAITING

  • For the promises of God to be made manifest.
    • Now, as you can see, the Lord has kept me alive and well as He promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise—even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me.” Read Joshua 14:10 (NLT). Can you see this, Joshua’s WAIT was the difference between 85 – 45 = 40yrs.  Oh, my God, 40 years Joshua WAITED for the promise. Please listen to this, “For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfil your purpose] for His good pleasure.” Read Philippians 2:13 (AMP). Beloved, God’s promise for you is worth the WAIT, no matter what it takes. Let us not make the mistake of Sarai who refused to WAIT and tried to speed up the process; offering Abram to Hagar. Read Genesis 16:2 (NIV). WAITING is not a thing which can be done using your will power, a million times no.

Father, thank You for the grace and strength to WAIT for Your promises. Thank You that we are like the palm tree that will not move from Your promises. Thank You for joining Yourself to me and releasing Your Spirit to endure and outlast to receive the manifestation of Your promises for my life and family in Jesus name.

#There is a reason to WAIT.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
