Someone asked, how will they keep up with the word of God in a society that is constantly pulling them in all directions? This is a valid question because the battle Christians face is real, and I know the light we carry will be tested in a dark environment. Recall the Bible says, “The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” Read John 1:5. Watch this, you are the light to your world, and the host of darkness will do everything possible to trip you, and this is why I will encourage you to “anchor your soul” to God’s word, and our emotions are anchored to truth and liberty to live for you. So how then does one always keep up with the word and not with society?
- Be an imitator of Christ.
- “Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].” Read Ephesians 5:1 (AMP). We are meant to imitate how the Lord loved the world, but He was not of it and neither was He influenced by it. And in like manner, you and I need to be observant, to copy Jesus’s example and not allow ourselves to be influenced to such a point that we become drifters.
- Let Jesus be the leader and driver of your life.
- “Then Jesus went to work on His disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let Me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Read Matthew 16:26 9MSG). Watch this, follow the leader and you won’t lose. We must be prepared to relinquish control of our lives to Him; the one who knows our past, present and future. Oh, this is good, “Our soul exists to know His Name.” He is all that we want, He is Jesus forever, and He will never let go. He is Jehovah, God.
I want to encourage and let you know that “we are all first generation Christians.” I say this because “every seed has a unique destiny that has been programmed to fulfil a particular task.” Not all seeds are the same; therefore, you are peculiar because the seed of Christ lives in you.
#Keep up with the word.
This is really a blessing to me.
