Watch this, when we become overly busy, the tendency to panic increases, and this can lead to several outcomes which we might not desire – like having a bad attitude. However, Jesus gave Martha the solution and the way out of anxiety; you guessed it right – The Word (one thing is needful). “But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted (panicked, frenzied, troubled or worried) with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and do her part along with me]! But the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; There is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.” Read Luke 10:38-41 (AMPC).
“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, BUT in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and PETITION with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] STAND GUARD over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Read Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP). Antidotes to anxiety within the theme text below:
- Petition
- Is an earnest entreaty before God, with total reliance on God. And guess what God said, “The earth and sky will wear out and fade away before one word I speak loses its power or fails to accomplish its purpose.” Read Matthew 24:35 (TPT). That means beloved, whatever your petition, God can be trusted to do exactly what He said He will do.
- “First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people.” Read 1 Timothy 2:1 (AMP).
- Watchful
- “Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage.” Read 1 Corinthians 16:13 (TPT).
- “Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving.” Read Colossians 4:2 (AMP).
I want you to consider these two verses of scripture below.
“A nation is exalted by the righteousness of its people, but sin heaps disgrace upon the land.” Read Proverbs 14:34 (TPT).
“Blessed and prosperous is that nation who has God as their Lord! They will be the people he has chosen for His own.” Read Psalm 33:12 (TPT).
The success of any nation is not in its advanced or sophisticated military equipment or standing in the world of nations, instead, a nation is successful based on its LOVE FOR GOD…
My Father, my Father, my Father, the whole earth belongs to You, hence the Psalmist writes, “The earth is the Lord’s…” I am in awe of Your loving kindness and exceeding abundant grace.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
