Esther, Mordecai, Daniel had such faith which saw beyond the realms of the senses. Their respective stance put them on a collision course which meant there could only be one outcome, and that turned out to be God wins all the time. Remember, the Bible says, “So that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.” Read Philippians 2: 10-11 (AMP). Watch this, what Haman planned for evil, God turned it around to favour His precious people. The Bible says it like this, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present outcome, that many people would be kept alive [as they are this day].” Genesis 50:20 (AMP).
God is a master strategist and we see clearly in the Bible His plan to save His people and how King Xerxes was being set up to fulfil God’s plan. “That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him. It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.” Read Esther 6:1-2 (NIV). The question, why could the king not sleep? Because God wanted him to open the book of the chronicles, there lie in all the records that will start the ball rolling.
The Scripture says, when Haman entered, the king asked him, “…What should be done for the man the king delights to honour?” Now Haman thought to himself, “Who is there that the king would rather honour than me?” So he answered the king, “For the man, the king delights to honour, have them bring a royal robe the king has worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crest placed on its head. Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honour and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him, ‘This is what is done for the man the king delights to honour!’” “Go at once,” the king commanded Haman. “Get the robe and the horse and do just as you have suggested for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Do not neglect anything you have recommended.” So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, “This is what is done for the man the king delights to honour!” Read Esther 6:6-11 (NIV).
Reading the above text alone is just amazing; because we can see God’s love for His precious people, and how He planned before the foundations of the earth to rescue His people. By the acts of Esther and Mordecai, God saved a generation sanctioned to be extinct, awesome testimony, is it not?
