As I continue to look into the Book of Jonah, there are some similarities in the way we treat the assignment of God, yet, He is gracious and merciful such that He gives us a second chance or as many chances as we need to get right with His purpose and plan. Listen to this, “Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and proclaim to it the proclamation which I am going to tell you.” “So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh according to the word of the Lord.” Read Jonah 3:1-3 (NASB). Beloved, Salvation is open to anyone who is willing to RETURN to the LORD.
Jonah finally enters the city of Nineveh and preaches the message given to him by God which simply says, “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” Read Jonah 3:4 (NASB). You will agree this is one of the simplest of messages given to a nation. Amazingly, the people of Nineveh immediately BELIEVED, RESPONDED, REPENTED and TURNED TO THE LORD.
Now, the king and his nobles were not to be left out, “When the word reached the king of Nineveh, he arose from his throne, laid aside his robe from him, covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes. He issued a proclamation and it said, “In Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let man, beast, herd, or flock taste a thing. Do not let them eat or drink water. But both man and beast must be covered with sackcloth, and let men call on God earnestly that each may turn from his wicked way and from the violence which is in his hands. Who knows God may turn and relent and withdraw His burning anger so that we will not perish.” Read Jonah 3:6-9 (NASB).
The king of Nineveh demonstrated wisdom that some in the faith might not exhibit. He gave a decree to the nation to “FAST.” He also observed the message Jonah gave “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be destroyed.” The king knew SALVATION was only going to come from God’s Word, hence, “Who knows, God may turn and relent and withdraw His burning anger so that we will not perish.” Read Jonah 3:9 (NASB).
“When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. and He did not do it.” Read Jonah 3:10 (NASB). My Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace, mercy and love. Thank You for the redemptive Blood of Christ through which we are saved.

Qui sait que Dieu peut se retourner et céder et retirer sa colère brûlante afin que nous ne périssions pas. Lire Jonas 3:6-9 (NASB).
Le roi de Ninive a fait preuve de sagesse que certains dans la foi pourraient ne pas exposer. Il a donné un décret à la nation de “Rapide. Il a également observé le message que Jonas a donné “Pourtant quarante jours et Ninive sera détruite.” Le roi savait que le SALUT ne viendrait que de la Parole de Dieu, d’où: «Qui sait, Dieu peut se tourner et céder et retirer sa colère brûlante pour que nous ne périssions pas» Lire Jonas 3:9 (NASB).
“Quand Dieu a vu leurs actes,qu’ils se sont détournés de leur voie méchante, puis Dieu a cédé au sujet de la calamité qu’Il avait déclaré qu’Il apporterait sur eux. Et il ne l’a pasfait. Lire Jonas 3:10 (NASB). Mon Père céleste, merci pour Ta grâce, votre miséricorde et votre amour. Merci pour le Sang rédempteur du Christ par lequel nous sommes sauvés.

Während ich weiter in das Buch Jona schaue, gibt es einige Ähnlichkeiten in der Art und Weise, wie wir mit der Zuweisung Gottes umgehen, aber, Er ist gnädig und barmherzig, so dass Er uns eine zweite Chance oder so viele Chancen gibt, wie wir brauchen, um mit Seinem Zweck und Plan richtig zu werden. Hört darauf: “Nunkam das Wort des Herrn zum zweiten Mal zu Jona und sprach: Steh Entstehen auf, geh nach Ninive, der großen Stadt, und verkündige ihr die Verkündigung, die ich euch sagen werde.” “Auch stand Jona auf und ging nach Ninive nach dem Wort des Herrn.” Lesen Jonah 3:1-3 (NASB). Geliebte, das Heil steht jedem offen, der bereit ist, zum HERRN zurückzukehren.

Wer weiß, daß Gott sich umkehrt und nachgibt und seinen brennenden Zorn zurückzieht, damit wir nicht zu Gründen gehen.” Lesen Jonah 3:6-9 (NASB).
Der König von Ninive demonstrierte Weisheit, die einige im Glauben nicht ausstellen könnten. Danke für das erlösende Blut Christi, durch das wir errettet werden.
