Someone might be wondering, why would I be writing about being thankful in so long a series? It’s a good question, and I have an answer for you, found in the Scripture which I am sure you will be familiar with, “…Giving thanks ALWAYS for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…” Read Ephesians 5:20. Can you see this? Giving of thanks always can and will only be sustained when it is done in Christ. Recall what the Bible says, “By strength shall no man prevail.” Read 1 Samuel 2:9. The Scripture also helps us understand, “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord.” Read Zechariah 4:6. Listen to this beloved, “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Read Philippians 2:13.
Listen to this, “Amen! (So be it!) they cried. Blessing and glory and majesty and splendor and wisdom and thanks and honour and power and might [be ascribed] to our God to the ages and ages (forever and ever, throughout the eternities of the eternities)! Amen! (So be it!).” Read Revelations 7:12 (AMPC). I am reminded again about king David and how he abandoned dignity to praise God. Imagine with me for a moment, the president of a nation gets invited into the house of God, and launches into extravagant praise and dancing, what would people think? They will say he is drunk with wine because it is not normal for that kind of behaviour. But, what people forget is our dignity can only be found and cemented in Christ, and David understood better than every other king in Israel.
Michal scorned David for dancing without any dignity. Read 2 Samuel 6:20. But David’s response was epic and eye opening, “And he said, his dancing was unto the Lord…” Read 2 Samuel 6:21. David further went on to say, “I will make myself yet more contemptible than this, and I will be abased in your eyes. But by the female servants of whom you have spoken, by them I shall be held in honor.” Read 2 Samuel 6:22. Beloved, when you are before God, ignore who is around you, do away with your dignity because you have none without Christ [pause and calmly think]. Put on the dignity of Christ, dance like David danced, and let your worship be centered on Christ, for it is Him alone who is worthy of your praise.
My Lord and Saviour, how grateful and thankful I am to You for Your loving kindness and mercy. You have extended to me so much grace and I am deeply in awe of Your my Lord. Glory, Hallelujah.

Reconnaissant – Partie 10
Quelqu’un pourrait se demander, pourquoi devrais-je écrire sur être reconnaissant dans une si longue série? C’est une bonne question, et j’ai une réponse pour vous, trouvée dans l’Écriture que je suis sûr que vous serez familier avec, “… Rendre grâce TOUJOURS pour toutes choses à Dieu le Père au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ…” Lire Éphésiens 17 :20. Tu vois ça? Le don de remerciements ne peut et ne sera soutenu que lorsqu’il sera fait en Christ. Rappelez-vous ce que dit la Bible: “Par la force, aucun homme ne l’emportera.” Lire 1 Samuel 2:9. L’Écriture nous aide aussi à comprendre: “Non pas par la puissance, ni par le pouvoir, mais par Mon Esprit dit le Seigneur.” Lire Zacharie 4:6. Écoutez ce bien-aimé: “Car c’est Dieu qui travaille en vous, à la fois à la volonté et à faire de son bon plaisir.” Lire Philippiens 2:13.
Écoutez ceci, “Amen! (Qu’il en soit ainsi!) ils ont pleuré. Bénédiction et gloire et majesté etsplendeur et sagesse et merci, honneur et pouvoir et pourraient [être attribués] à notre Dieu aux âges et aux âges (pour toujours et pour toujours, à travers les éternités des éternités)! Amen! (Qu’il en soit ainsi!).” Lire Révélations 7:12 (AMPC). Je me souviens encore du roi David et de la façon dont il a abandonné la dignité pour louer Dieu. Imaginez avec moi un instant, le président d’une nation est invité dans la maison de Dieu, et se lance dans la louange extravagante et la danse, que penseraient les gens? Ils diront qu’il est ivre de vin parce que ce n’est pas normal pour ce genre de comportement. Mais ce que les gens oublient, c’est que notre dignité ne peut être trouvée et cimentée en Christ, et David a mieux compris que tous les autres rois en Israël.
Michal méprisait David pour avoir dansé sans dignité. Lire 2 Samuel 6:20. Mais la réponse de David a été épique et l’ouverture des yeux, “Et il a dit, sa danse était au Seigneur…” Lire 2 Samuel 6:21. David a poursuivi en disant: “Je vais me rendre encore plus méprisable que cela, et je serai abasourdi à vos yeux. Mais par les domestiques dont vous avez parlé, par eux, je serai tenu en l’honneur.” Lire 2 Samuel 6:22. Bien-aimé, quand vous êtes devant Dieu, ignorez qui est autour de vous, éloignez-vous de votre dignité parce que vous n’en avez pas sans Christ [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement]. Mettez sur la dignité du Christ, dansez comme David dansé, et laissez votre culte être centré sur le Christ, car c’est Lui seul qui est digne de votre louange.
Mon Seigneur et Sauveur, combien je vous suis reconnaissant et reconnaissant pour votre bonté et votre miséricorde aimantes. Vous m’avez accordé tant de grâce et je suis profondément émerveillé par Mon Seigneur. Gloire, Alléluia.
