But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
Beloved, there is a huge benefit that will come to the person who will “Patiently Wait” for the Lord. Our theme Scripture will help us see what these benefits are and how one’s life is shaped through hearkening unto the voice of His word. Let us look at what the text says:
1. Shall RENEW their STRENGTH: Defining the key terms will help our understanding of the text. “RENEW [going up to a higher stage (level of sanctification) by God’s power or sprout again.”]. STRENGTH [ability and efficiency]. Can you see this beloved? One commentary says, “One’s expectant attitude or posture of faith.” Faith which conquers every adversity. Beloved, are you currently being challenged or can’t seem to see the way out? Then, I encourage you to WAIT [having an expectation of the possibilities in God] for the LORD and let Him re-invigorate and re-energise you in Christ. Watch this, “The Lord is the strength of my life.” Read Psalm 27:1b (KJV).
Listen to this beloved, the Scripture says, “My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” Read James 1:2-4 (GNT). Well, Ricky, why should I consider myself fortunate? The Bible says, “Your faith will succeed” and the “Ability to endure” will rise in you. Why? Because the object of your faith is in GOD [pause and calmly think].
In this wise, my dearly beloved brother and sister, this is not a time to be perplexed, but to be resolute in your faith, knowing it is an indication that your roots are being grounded and rooted in Christ.
My Lord and Saviour, I look to You every waking moment, for my strength is in You. You alone are the joy and the rejoicing of my heart, because, You will never ever fail me, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Bien-aimés, il y a un énorme avantage qui viendra à la personne qui “attendra patiemment” le Seigneur. Notre thème de l’Écriture nous aidera à voir quels sont ces avantages et comment notre vie est façonnée en écoutant la voix de sa parole. Regardons ce que dit le texte:
1. Renouveler leur FORCE: Définir les termes clés nous aidera à comprendre le texte. “RENOUVELER [monter à un stade supérieur (niveau de sanctification) par la puissance de Dieu ou germer à nouveau.”]. FORCE [capacité et efficacité]. Pouvez-vous voir ce bien-aimé? Un commentaire dit: “L’attitude d’attente ou la posture de foi de quelqu’un.” Une foi qui vainc toute adversité. Bien-aimé, êtes-vous actuellement mis au défi ou ne semblez-vous pas voir la sortie? Ensuite, je vous encourage à ATTENDRE [en ayant une attente des possibilités en Dieu]pour l’Éternel et à le laisser revigorer et vous redynamiser en Christ. Regardez ceci: “Le Seigneur est la force de ma vie.” Lire Psaume 27:1b (KJV).
Écoutez ce bien-aimé, l’Écriture dit: “Mes amis, considérez-vous chanceux quand toutes sortes d’épreuves se présentent à vous, car vous savez que lorsque votre foi réussit à faire face à de telles épreuves, le résultat est la capacité de supporter. Assurez-vous que votre endurance vous porte jusqu’au bout sans faillir, afin que vous puissiez être parfait et complet, ne manquant de rien.” Lire Jacques 1:2-4 (GNT). Eh bien, Ricky, pourquoi devrais-je me considérer chanceux? La Bible dit: “Ta foi réussira” et la “Capacité de supporter” s’élèvera en vous. Pourquoi? Parce que l’objet de votre foi est en DIEU [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement].
En ce sage, mon frère et ma sœur bien-aimés, ce n’est pas le moment d’être perplexe, mais d’être résolu dans votre foi, sachant que c’est une indication que vos racines sont enracinées et enracinées dans le Christ.
Mon Seigneur et Sauveur, je Me tourne vers Toi à chaque instant d’éveil, car ma force est en Toi. Toi seul es la joie et la joie de mon cœur parce que Tu ne me manqueras jamais, et pour cela, je suis éternellement reconnaissant.
