I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands.

“If loving God with all our heart and soul and might is the greatest commandment, then it follows that not loving Him that way is the greatest sin.” R. A. Torrey.
Listen to this, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).” Read Matthew 22:37 (AMPC). Beloved, when you understand this truth, we can embrace this text in its proper context: “Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!).” Read Psalm 150:6 (AMPC). Oh, how beautiful! Listen to this, the Westminster Shorter Catechism asks, what is the chief end of man? “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” Hence, beloved, we can have a better appreciation for Psalm 150:6.
To be able to accomplish all we talked about in the introduction, would require a changed heart. Therefore, this question is important for you and me to answer, what is the condition of our heart? Is my heart callous towards God (Matthew 13:15) or is it on fire and alive unto God (Romans 12:11).? Is my heart estranged from God? [pause and calmly think]. First of all, let us see this, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind. Even to give every man according to his ways. According to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 (NKJV). Beloved, God knows the condition of our heart, hence, we cannot deceive Him; “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable.” Read Hebrews 4:13 (NLT). Beloved, we ought to fear God!
Now, how does a change of heart happen? This can only be by the hand of God. How? The Bible helps us answer this question, “I will.” In our theme text, God pledged the following: 1). Cleansing from sin, 2). A new heart, 3). A new spirit, 4). The Holy Spirit as an enabler makes it possible for you and me to live and follow His commands.
Cleansing from the Lord that will wash away sin – Listen to this, “How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.” Read Psalm 119:9 (NASB). Watch this, “So that He might sanctify the church, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word [of God].” Read Ephesians 5:26 (AMP). Beloved, can you see the importance the word of God plays in relation to our hearts? Watch this, “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” Read John 15:3 (NASB). Do you want your heart to be renewed, beloved? You must have a firm resolution, be a student of the word of God and most importantly, be a doer. Listen to this, “For Ezra had firmly resolved to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.” Read Ezra 7:10 (NASB).
Watch this, your heart is the driver and compass of your life! My Father, cleanse my heart and make it “Useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.” Read 2 Timothy 2:21 b (NASB).

Je vais enlever le cœur de pierre de votre corps et le remplacer par un cœur qui est voulu par Dieu, pas volontaire. Je mettrai mon Esprit en vous et vous permettrai de faire ce que je vous dis et de vivre selon mes commandements.

“Si aimer Dieu de tout notre cœur, de toute notre âme et de toute notre puissance est le plus grand commandement, alors il s’ensuit que ne pas L’aimer de cette façon est le plus grand péché.” R. A. Torrey.
Écoutez ceci: “Tu aimeras le Seigneur ton Dieu de tout ton cœur, de toute ton âme et de tout ton esprit (intellect).” Lire Matthieu 22:37 (AMPC). Bien-aimés, lorsque vous comprenez cette vérité, nous pouvons embrasser ce texte dans son contexte propre: “Que tout ce qui a un souffle et chaque souffle de vie loue le Seigneur! Louez le Seigneur ! (Alléluia!).” Lire Psaume 150:6 (AMPC). Oh, comme c’est beau! Écoutez ceci, le Catéchisme abrégé de Westminster demande, quelle est la fin principale de l’homme? “La fin principale de l’homme est de glorifier Dieu et de jouir de lui pour toujours. Par conséquent, bien-aimés, nous pouvons avoir une meilleure appréciation du Psaume 150:6.
Pour être en mesure d’accomplir tout ce dont nous avons parlé dans l’introduction, il faudrait un changement de cœur. Par conséquent, cette question est importante pour vous et moi de répondre, quel est l’état de notre cœur? Mon cœur est-il insensible envers Dieu (Matthieu 13:15) ou est-il en feu et vivant pour Dieu (Romains 12:11)? Mon cœur est-il éloigné de Dieu? [faites une pause et réfléchissez calmement]. Tout d’abord, voyons ceci: “Le cœur est trompeur par-dessus tout, et désespérément méchant. Qui peut le savoir? Moi, le Seigneur, je sonde le cœur, je teste l’esprit. Même de donner à chaque homme selon ses voies. Selon le fruit de ses actes.” Jérémie 17:9-10 (LSG). Bien-aimés, Dieu connaît l’état de notre cœur, par conséquent, nous ne pouvons pas Le tromper; “Rien dans toute la création n’est caché à Dieu. Tout est nu et exposé sous Ses yeux, et Il est celui à qui nous sommes responsables. Lire Hébreux 4:13 (NLT). Bien-aimés, nous devrions craindre Dieu!
Maintenant, comment un changement de cœur se produit-il? Cela ne peut être que par la main de Dieu. Comment? La Bible nous aide à répondre à cette question: “Je le ferai. Dans notre texte thématique, Dieu a promis ce qui suit: 1). Purification du péché, 2). Un cœur nouveau, 3). Un nouvel esprit, 4). Le Saint-Esprit en tant que facilitateur nous permet, à vous et à moi, de vivre et de suivre ses commandements.
Purification du Seigneur qui lavera le péché – Écoutez ceci: “Comment un jeune homme peut-il garder son chemin pur? En le gardant selon Ta parole.” Lire le Psaume 119:9 (NASB). Regardez ceci: “Afin qu’il puisse sanctifier l’Église, après l’avoir purifiée par le lavage de l’eau avec la parole [de Dieu].” Lire Éphésiens 5:26 (AMP). Bien-aimés, voyez-vous l’importance que la Parole de Dieu joue par rapport à nos cœurs? Regardez ceci: “Vous êtes déjà purs à cause de la parole que je vous ai dite.” Lire Jean 15:3 (NASB).Voulez-vous que votre cœur soit renouvelé, aimé? Vous devez avoir une résolution ferme, être un étudiant de la parole de Dieu et, surtout, être un exécutant. Écoutez ceci: “Car Esdras avait fermement décidé d’étudier la Loi du Seigneur et de la pratiquer, et d’enseigner Ses statuts et Ses ordonnances en Israël.” Lire Esdras 7:10 (NASB).
Bien-aimés, votre cœur est le moteur et la boussole de votre vie! Mon Père, purifie mon cœur et rends-le “Utile au Maître, préparé pour toute bonne œuvre.” Lire 2 Timothée 2:21b (NASB).
