The four Dimensions of the Cross of Christ- Part 1d

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Read Ephesians 3:18-19 (KJV).

Christ is our High-Priest, the Cross connects and gives us access to the throne of God’s grace. Therefore, as believers in Christ, we are not to retreat from God in fear, but to come to Him boldly, without any guilt, shame or condemnation. The Bible says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Read Hebrews 4:16. This means we can approach God at any time, in any circumstance, fully assured of His love, mercy, and help. God is rich in mercy towards us for our past, and He is gracious to us in the present, when we need help. The Bible says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). Read Ephesians 2:4.

At the Cross, Christ reconciled the world to Himself. The Bible says, “And, having made peace through the Blood of His Cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” Read Colossians 1:20. This verse is teaching us that ‘through the sacrificial death of Christ, God is restoring peace and order to the entire created universe, reconciling all things to Himself.’ Humanity is doomed to hell without the shed Blood of Christ on the Cross. The Bible says, “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh.” Hebrews 10:19-20.

Through Jesus’ sacrifice, the barrier between humanity and God is removed, allowing believers direct access to God’s grace without fear. Christ’s work reconciles us with God, providing mercy, grace, and assurance of His love. We are encouraged to approach God confidently, relying on Christ’s grace. Instead of avoiding God due to guilt or fear, make prayer a daily habit. When facing challenges, remember you can always receive mercy and help at the throne of grace. Trust in Christ’s assurance that you are always welcome in God’s presence.

Thus saith the Lord, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” Read Deuteronomy 30:19. Beloved, what will you choose?

Lord, we praise You for being rich in mercy. May our lives reflect gratitude for the sacrifice of Christ and the reconciliation You accomplished through Your Cross. Strengthen our faith, guide and continue to order our steps according to Your Word, and keep our hearts close to You.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
