Someone might be wondering, why would I be writing about being thankful in so long a series? It’s a good question, and I have an answer for you, found in the Scripture which I am sure you will be familiar with, “…Giving thanks ALWAYS for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…” Read Ephesians 5:20. Can you see this? Giving of thanks always can and will only be sustained when it is done in Christ. Recall what the Bible says, “By strength shall no man prevail.” Read 1 Samuel 2:9. The Scripture also helps us understand, “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord.” Read Zechariah 4:6. Listen to this beloved, “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Read Philippians 2:13.
