Consider your ways – Part 2b

I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” Read Haggai 2:7-9 (NASB). So what does this mean in the context of the Jews building the temple of God? The Jews who were willing to build the temple might have been worried about the resources required for the building of the temple, but, God assured them that the “desiretreasures” of all nations will be brought to the people to help in the rebuilding of the temple. Listen to this, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.” Read Psalm 24:1 (NASB). Therefore, God will make the provision available for the purpose of the building of His temple.
