In our society today, the rule of law is being eroded and it now looks like there are two systems of justice; one for the rich and influential, and another for the poor, and this is one of God’s indictment against the Israelites in the [Northern Kingdom]. The rule of law exists to prevent anyone who does not have the wherewithal to defend themselves, hence, we have the courts, but the courts and judges have failed in their responsibility to uphold the rule of law on behalf of the oppressed. BUT, there is a God in heaven whose justice is righteous and He will punish every unrighteousness and He will not relent, until there is true repentance.
