There is shepherding in the wilderness – Part 7

large_when-god-seems-silent-nj7cg6wi“Jesus was driven into the wilderness by the Holy Ghost to be tempted…” The one who drove Him into the wilderness, was now responsible for giving Him guidance and support and sustenance. Scripture tells us “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…” “Jesus is the shepherd of our soul, and we are the sheep of His pasture.” In others words, we are being shepherded in the midst of the issues and challenges one might face. Have you noticed, in most instances, the shepherd always get their way, and its the same when God is working with us in the wilderness; He, God always is the BOSS, He always WINS -:)

Shepherd according to Merriam Webster’s “to guide or guard, counsel, coach, mentor, pilot or tutor.” I love the synonym “to pilot.” In the wilderness you cannot fly blind, you need the help of the air traffic control. Imagine with me what will happen to the pilot without the air traffic control tower giving directions; your guess is as good as mine.

I gave these instances to arrive at this point in saying “in the wilderness, shepherding is a critical point of development and maturity in Gods plan and purpose for us. The shepherd will lead you besides still waters, and you will be refreshed, and from that refreshed spirit of yours, now you have much more to give from an overflowing spirit to those who come into contact with you.
