A couple of months ago, I sensed a strong nudge to study a particular verse of scripture from the book of Hebrews 1:3 (amp), hear what it says, “The Son is the radiance and only expression of the glory of [our awesome] God [reflecting God’s Shekinah glory, the Light-being, the brilliant light of the divine], and the exact representation and perfect imprint of His [Father’s] essence, and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal].”
Listen to the message bible rendering of the same verse of scripture, “By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back from living by your righteous order. Everything’s falling apart on me, God; put me together again with your Word. Festoon me with your finest sayings, God;teach me your holy rules…” This verse of scripture ought to cause you to pause and calmly think – Selah. Read the verse of scripture again, did you see and hear what it said? Oh yes, “your ears are anointed to hear, and eyes blessed to see.”
Let me pause and declare, heavenly Father, I am so grateful that the Body of Christ would walk in the reality of this powerful truth in the Name of Jesus, Amen. Recall the scripture says “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Read Psalm 119:105.
Gods powerful word is the glue, it is the cement, it is the nail which holds everything in place. Imagine with me a house without the iron rods before putting on the cement; after a while, the structure becomes lopsided, and eventually will collapse under the weight without any support. There are several scripture references talking about the potency and efficacy of Gods Word.
At this juncture, I believe it is important I allow you study out Hebrews 1:3 (different versions), and let it minister to you. Check and research each word carefully, and really get hold of what this verse of scripture is saying to you, YES YOU. As an aside, God desires to speak with you every day, and the primary way through which He speaks; is through His Word, hence you see why it is critically important to GO FOR THE WORD FIRST.
