Speak ONLY the spoken word – Part 1

Jesus Christ spoke only words that were consistent with scriptures, and He experienced the fruitfulness of every word He spoke. Recall the scripture saying “And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect (mature and fully developed). So we will not be afraid on the day of judgement, but we can face Him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.” Read 1 John 4:17 (NLT). I love this verse of scripture in Proverbs 18:21 (MSG) “Those who love to talk will suffer the consequences, men have died for saying the wrong thing.” I am mindful to say this, the consequences we experience today, good or bad, might be as a result of unfruitful and unproductive words we speak.

Are you aware, faith is released when we speak Gods word steadily and constantly? We are told, God released His faith through His spoken words. Really? Look at the creation story, God spoke His will into existence and the universe was. Likewise, you and I can speak into existence that which we truly desire. Afterall, the bible says in Romans 4:17 (NLT) “…this happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.” Watch this, our words are for creation and not cursing – Selah (pause and calmly think).

Creating what you want through your words and imagination takes training, consistency in the word, consistency in hearing Gods Word, consistency in verbalizing what you believe, consistency in meditation irrespective of the environment or condition. I know it is a daunting task sometimes to be faced with facts and truth, but we have enough spiritual sense to go with the truth based on Gods word, “Set them apart in the truth; Your word is truth.” Read John 17:17 (NHEB). Your words will either set you apart and distinguish or keep you in prison and in bondage!!!

This is only an introduction into this exciting and thought provoking discourse. It is my desire to challenge you, to get you thinking about the things you say.
