The word sceptre is a representation of authority. See what the Bible says, “But about the Son [the Father says to Him], Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. And the scepter of [absolute] righteousness is the scepter of His Kingdom.” Read Hebrews 1:8 (AMP). In other words, the place of God’s absolute RULE is the place of His absolute AUTHORITY. The Scripture tells us, Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.” Now the same Bible says to us, “In this [union and communion with Him]…, because as He is so are we in this world.” Read 1 John 4:17 (AMPC).
My Bible also says to me, “He has gathered us into His Kingdom and made us priests of God His Father. Give to Him everlasting glory! He rules forever! Amen!.” Read Revelation 1:6 (TLB). Are you now seeing this, that every believer in Jesus Christ is designed to rule in the affairs of this life, Hallelujah. Hence I alluded to the fact that, “you are not disadvantaged.” And If you feel you are, then, there is more revelation available to you by God’s spirit through His word, that will enlighten your understanding to this truth. So for you, to whom the sceptre has been extended, don’t you know, we are seated together with Him? The Bible says, “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Beloved, you are an Heir of God, and He has chosen His creation to be an expression of His grace, mercy and favor. You and I are that expression, and the joy that was set before Him. Selah (pause and calmly think about it).
Now, let us look at another perspective; when the Golden Sceptre is extended, it means you now have the floor, and it is a sign of authority. Selah. When you have the floor, it means, everyone is paying attention to what you are about to say. Therefore, you must make it count, you must be precise and to the point. Esther did it, Nehemiah did it, so did Jabez saying, And [INSERT YOUR NAME] called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.” SO GOD GRANTED HIM WHAT HE REQUESTED.” Read 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NKJV).
I liken an “extended sceptre” to an open book with thousands of blank pages, and all you have to do is scribble. Well, you might say, you don’t know what to scribble; start by scribbling who God says you are, “I am a king and a priest unto my God, I am a blessing to my generation, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I am the desire of all nations, I am the head and not the tail, I am created in the image of God and after His own likeness, I have all of my needs met, having much more than enough to meet every financial obligation, I am investing in the word of God, I am enriched in my spirit, my soul, my body, I am the beloved of God, and so on and so forth.
Let me leave you with this thought, “For we are God’s coadjutors: you are God’s husbandry; you are God’s building.” Read 1 Corinthians 3:9 (DRB). Beloved, let us come into alignment and agreement with who God has called you to be, “A king and a priest unto our God.”
