Life is a Beautiful ride: who is riding along side you?

IMG_2021.pngLife is filled with challenges, but the truth is life is a beautiful ride depending on who is riding with you. The construct of the bicycle is quite interesting, a single seat for the rider, the handle bar and a set of wheels to give you balance for as long as it is in motion. My point is this, life can truly be a beautiful ride, if God is at the helm of the handle bar comfortably seated without thinking when is He going to be shoved aside. Well, you say, how can we shove God aside? We do so when we take away the responsibility for our living. God never intended for us to be self-sufficient without Him in the picture, hence the Bible says, “Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” Read 2 Corinthians 3:5 (AMPC). Recall the scripture saying, “It is written and forever remains written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.” Read Mathew 4:4 (AMP). In other words confirming and reminding us that our existence comes from His word.

We know from scriptures, “You make my life pleasant and my future is bright.” Read Psalm 16:6 (CEV). Another version of the same scripture says, “He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]…” Read Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP). Riding this beautiful life with God is one of exploration, fulfilment and beauty. There are surely bumps on the road, but as long as God is seated at the centre of your life, you have nothing to be worried about. And that is why I said, “Life is beautiful.” I did not make the statement based on feelings, but by revelation knowledge and comprehension of Gods word. “He has made my life beautiful” and I must accept this as the gospel truth.

To some people, life can be a drudgery, and I can understand why some think this way. And I believe some have this type of perspective about life because they are the ones seated on the seat of their lives, when in actual fact, it should be God seated at the helm of affairs. Admittedly, we have all made that kind of mistake at one time or another. And have you heard people say, ride out the storms of life? Well, I have, and it is possible to ride out the storms of life when God is on that single seat. You might be wondering, there is only one seat, and that is for me, the owner of the bicycle. Hmmnn! The truth is the seat on that bicycle is meant for God to be seated on, whilst He carries, and helps you pedal your life to His plans purpose and pursuits.

Listen to what this beautiful scripture says to you today, “Ride majestically. Ride triumphantly. Ride on the side of truth. Ride for the righteous meek.” Read Psalm 45:2-4 (MSG). What I am trying to get us to see is this, life is truly beautiful; when God is on the seat of your heart, and His word is the propeller of your life Hallelujah. In this wise beloved, I am asking you to consider; yield the seat over to God if you have not already done so. And to the one who has already yielded his seat, keep yielding as it is life of yieldedness to the Lord.

To fully ride in the blessings and favor of God requires relinquishing control of the seat on the bicycle and the handle bar. Let Him be in control and He would take you on a journey of a lifetime. A journey of joy everlasting and full of glory, a journey of fulfilled dreams and desires, a journey of completeness in Him, a journey of the truly blessed life.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.

  1. Very true indeed. Life can be beautiful with Him at the helm. He wants us to get to the point in our journey that no matter our current situation or circumstance , we see how beautiful oir life is because of God.
