You have been scripted – Part 1

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word script as “the written form of a story prepared for film production.” Listen to what the Bible says, “The Lord said to me, ⁵ “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.” Read Jeremiah 1:4-5 (TLB). In other words, before you came through the birth canal of your mother, the Lord developed and made a tailor fitted plan for you that no one else can fit into, hence the title, ‘You have been Scripted.’ 

You might be asking if God truly scripted your life, why then did all these things (bad experiences) happen to you? A good question to which I have no answer to; only God knows why those things happened. Consequently, I believe this verse would help bring some clarity, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Read Romans 8:28 (NKJV). Watch this, a scripted life is not devoid of troubles; and sometimes these troubles have a way of ushering one back in line and to the loving arms of Almighty God. I encourage you to study the entire chapter of Romans 8 to gain the proper context of verse 28.

God is the creator and director of your script, and what He does is to include other actors to help support the lead actor. So in the course of your life, other actors will come alongside you to help execute the final scripts of your life. Take, for example, God had a script for Saul, who became Paul; and Pauls fellow supporting actor was Barnabas (The Black Man) who really took Paul by the hand and introduced him to the other disciples. Read Acts 9 (NIV).

Therefore, always understand that your script has other supporting casts whose role it is to help you deliver on your script; hence don’t be too dismissive of casts who will come alongside you to help you at each turn, because you never know what supporting role they have been given.

Casts come in different forms, therefore, it is critically important to be open-minded with people you come in contact with.  Father God, thank You for writing the script of our lives to perfection, we thank You for the boldness and patience to embrace Your favor and grace in Jesus Name.
