What does a Scripted Life look like? Let the truth be told, I am desperate to act out the script of God for my life and family, hence one of my all time favorite scripture is “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.” Read Psalm 27:4 (ESV). Brothers and sisters, this is my script, so help me God. Let me say, living a Scripted Life does not mean boring, quite the opposite, it can be a life of adventure and exploration. I am sure you definitely want to know what the Scripted Life looks like, so let’s start with this.
- A Scripted Life is full of Praise.
- “Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!).” Read Psalm 150:6 (AMP). In other words, every breath in you, every fibre of your being, and every cell in your blood should praise the Lord. One of the effects of praise and thanksgiving is clearly stated in 2 Chronicles 20:22 (KJV) “And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” This makes me understand, praise is a tool the Lord uses to fight our battles, Hallelujah. Lastly, “God is great—everything works together for good for his servant.” I’ll tell the world how great and good you are, I’ll shout Hallelujah all day, every day. Read Psalm 35:28 (MSG). The Psalmist is clearly amplifying praise. My Bible also tells me, “No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” Read 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TLB). God’s will is for you to be thankful in all things.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for filling our mouths with praise and thanksgiving. We are eternally grateful for Your grace, and we receive strength anew to lift our hands in triumphant victory in Jesus Name. And like Your word declares, “You have caused us to lift our hands in triumph over our enemies, and all our foes are destroyed.” Hallelujah, Glory to God.
