Announcement! – Part 3

5Listen to this thought, you don’t have to be sophisticated to witness to others about what God has done in your life, just tell it as it is. You are not trying to win a theological debate or convince someone, a million times no; what you are doing is testifying of the goodness of God. Recall the scripture says, “Can’t you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” Read Romans 2:4 (NLT). And the way His kindness or goodness turned and changed your life, it can and will do the same for another under a different or the same circumstance.

Witnessing is a way of expanding the Gospel of Christ to those who are in need of a Saviour. And as I alluded to in times past, we are all in need of a Saviour. Jesus put it this way when He said to the man who was possessed by demons and delivered “Go home to your friends,” He told him, and tell them what wonderful things God has done for you; and how merciful He has been, so the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to tell everyone about the great things Jesus had done for him; and they were awestruck by his story.” Read Mark 5:19-20 (TLB).

Jesus said to His disciples, “Go out and tell everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God.” Read Matthew 6:12 (NIV). Listen to what the Bible says, “The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could He possibly be the Messiah.? So the people came streaming from the village to see Him.” Read John 4:28-30 (NIV). Can you see this? Announcing Christ can and will enhance Spiritual Harvest because the Spirit of God working alongside you will give voice to your credible testimony which in effect will impact your audience.

“Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, He told me everything I did.” Read John 4:39 (NIV). This is awesome and to think our act of obedience to God by announcing to our friends and contemporaries what the Lord has done brings great relief to the hearers; is amazing. So dearly beloved, witnessing/announcing is not optional, it is embedded within the package of salvation and because you are saved the urgency I am expecting to tell others becomes inevitable.

So what are you waiting for? When Jesus healed the blind and mute, scripture tells us “They went out and spread His fame all over the region.” Read Matthew 9:31 (NIV). I ask you to do the same, God has done so much for you, and you better believe it. Therefore, go out and testify of the goodness of God in your life.

Lord Jesus, thank You for all that You continue to do in my life, I am eternally grateful. Thank You, I can testify of Your goodness and mercy in Jesus Name.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
